We spent a month at Camp Meade RV Park and this place is a gem… clean, spacious, and the sites themselves are great. The downside is the shared spaces. The game room is often messy, and the laundry room regularly has detergent spills, lint, and pet hair left behind. As dog owners, we wipe down washers and clear lint traps after every load; we just wish others, especially fellow pet owners, would do the same. A few long-termers also aren’t keeping their sites neat, and there doesn’t seem to be much enforcement. Because this is a military-only park, we should hold ourselves to a higher standard. Simply clean up after yourself. MWR should assign someone to make daily rounds and enforce the standard routinely. This place could be truly outstanding if the common areas and rule enforcement matched the quality of the campsites.

A very nice RV park with nice showerhouses, and laundry is reasonable. The commissary is really handy being so close. The staff at the Outdoor Recreation facility were awesome!

Not impressed, but it is an option when visiting the area. First, the prices are pretty high for what you're getting. Sites are level but are not well cared for. Our patio area was completely overgrown in weeds, mowing throughout the park happens irregularly resulting in some of the longer term residents taking matters into their own hands and mowing sites on their own, and the amount of low hanging branches when driving any rigs of size through the park will have you up on the roof checking for damage. Crazy warnings about parking or driving on the grass because they're supposedly worried about it killing the grass, yet they allow you to set up tents on the grass for as long as you want which in turn kills the grass...Army logic? Also, the design of the pull thru spots when you first enter the park makes it so you have to backtrack down a one way street to get back to your rig. Sad that no one could see this when planning the park...

We totally enjoyed our stay. The bathroom/lounge/laundry is very clean. The sites are level and a nice size. The camp store staff is friendly. Fast food and gas stations are close by. The grounds are kept up and sites are full service. You have to have served or sponsored by a service person prior to your stay. We'll be back.

I would have given this location a higher rating. The park itself is very nice. Standard FHU and nice spacing. Greenery a bit over grown but it's manageable. However the ODR customer service and weekly moving to a different spot really dampened the experience. For some reason, almost half of the RV campers are required to move weekly. Some people who will stay longer periods of time had to move 4 times. When asked the reason why, all said they didn't know the reason, despite their spot being open for several days afterwards. Most people thought it was a power trip issue bc ODR WOULD NOT provide a reason either. So think twice before committing.

This RV park does have some decent amenities if they work. They have a laundry room, but they may work when you try to use them. The landscaping is very poorly maintained, they mow maybe once a month they refuse to remove dead trees that could cause personal property damage. Their rates are constantly changing and is very expensive seeing that it is on a military base and it is run by MWR which receives tons of free money every year.

We have camped here for many years and love the campground. This year we arrived to ankle deep grass and dirty patios (flat weeds growing across the cement). When I asked when the mowers would be coming, I was told the FamCamp is low priority and if I wanted to borrow a mower and edger, I was welcome. At $55/night I thought I shouldn't have to police the site in order to sit outside and enjoy it. The Stinkbugs and ticks love the love grass also. The rest of the base is well kept and lovely.

We camped for the weekend and loved it! Quiet campground. Paved streets and concrete sites. You don’t feel like you’re close to town because of the woods. Just outside the campground is a park with two playgrounds for kids to play. Had a blast! Just outside the gate is a gas station to pull in your RV and fuel up and across the street is Dunkin Donuts. You can’t go wrong.
