I gave the Big Chill a one star. Because of an incident that was Racism at its best. And was not handled as per their PR Response. Today. I see that my review was not listed. As I said before. THE DEVIL IS A LIAR!! Shame on the owner/PR Department, for trying to COVER UP THE TRUTH!!!!

I was part of a guest group hosted at Camp Michawana during the fall season. The cabins created a great atmosphere and covered all of the amenities needed to house our attendees. The Chapel was a great space with all of the needed equipment for the speaker sessions, worship music and breakout activities for our event. The grounds were maintained and presented the opportunities for our attendees to get outside and enjoy God's creation. Camp Staff were a joy to interact with.

I'm always looking for small campgrounds that are quiet enough to relax, while having activity to participate in or just to watch and enjoy. Camp Michawana fits that perfectly. The sites are sizeable, and many have trees for shade. I recommend this for anyone looking for a place to slow down, but that still has things to do.

Unfortunately this camp was very unethical and inappropriate with the conversation and teaching they have with the children. I personally feel that teaching conversion tactics is highly inappropriate and should not be tolerated. I highly recommend looking for a new camp, no child should be told who to love, what to wear, and who to be.

We happened to get a spot here last minute during Memorial Day weekend and had a great time. It's a Christian camp and there were tons of family activities all weekend going on, all included in the reasonable price for an RV spot. The restrooms are decent, the showers okay. It got a bit messy and crazy during the holiday weekend obviously but as soon as the crowd cleared out they did a full cleaning. Our son loves the playground - it's huge with some giant wooden trucks the kids can climb into along with other typical playground equipment. The amenities far exceed a typical RV park since it's also a family/youth campground. There's a walking path to a large lake. Some of the amenities such as a slip and slide, rock wall, etc weren't open but that was fine for us since we have a toddler. There's a camp store with snacks and the staff are really sweet. We couldn't get a good phone or data signal this far out, which was a little frustrating at times but still worth it for the whole experience. WiFi is good when the camp isn't overcrowded. During the peak holiday weekend times it was slow but that makes sense. Would 110% stay here again.
