I did an easy hike on Nemo and Grumpy Loop near Victor. Not too crowded and not too hot in mid-August.

Nothing like a climb up a steep steep hill to reach a destination quicker. It also helps if you go with a strong male friend that’s really good at navigating steep terrain. It was a beautiful view from the top amongst the sun bleached rocks and old cedars oh and rock chucks. Lots of them. Saw free range bulls including 2 white bulls. No sightings of coyotes. Or Moose or Mtn. Lions and tigers and bears, oh my! Thank goodness. I was raised in Las Vegas aka concrete jungle. Our wild animals consist of scorpions rattle snakes lizards tarantulas and tortoises. I recommend a Trail Creek hike just after sunrise!! Will post photos after editing IMO He should work for the Forestry Service fighting fires. Just saying )

I love this place. I've ridden several of the the thousands of miles of ATV trails. They range from very easy to difficult. I've rolled my atv a few times out here but continue to return. (Rider error) my most recent visit I took my son and brother out for an overnight camping trip. For the most part people know how to clean up after themselves and the forest service seems up on all maintenance. The spot we chose was secluded yet only 50 yars off a gravel road. We left camp and drove about 15 minutes to the hot springs. At camp we didn't have power (obviously) so we used the generator when needed but overall we had a blast!

Amazing scenery! Kinda crowded but the hike to the cave is beautiful! The trees are nice and green and wildlife is plentiful. Expect to see squirrels and chipmunks. Great place to take the family! Amazing Natl. Forest, one of the best I have seen. Truly a beautiful sight.
