This is NOT a Good Sam location, though they’ve not had themselves removed from the Good Sam site. I was unaware of this until I saw my receipt. I paid over the phone before arriving. When I asked about it in the office, the woman told me they were also on some other membership site that the “new owners” don’t participate in either. They only get 2 stars because I got a decent shower. It’s a dust bowl and I wouldn’t stay here again. Also the wifi is crap. Couldn’t even keep my phone connected.

My husband and I have been on the road in our motorhome for six months and have stayed in hundreds of parks. We have never posted a negative review, but feel like it is our obligation to warn others not to stay here. This is a treeless gravel parking lot in the middle of town with rude and nasty staff. We booked this three-night stay five months ago, only to be put in a mud pit with the entire park's electrical panels beside us, directly on the main road in/out. When we politely asked if we could be moved to one of the many empty sites which were large enough to accommodate our 35' motorhome, they refused with excuses that the turns were too tight for class A's (they were not, and there were other class A's in the section) or the open sites were for full-time guests only. In fact, it turns out that the majority of the place is full of folks who live there and leave for work (most likely oil field workers) in their diesel trucks before 5 am. When I reiterated that we booked this stay 6 months prior and deserved a better location, the rude staff member waved her hand at me and told me to leave. And of course, they refused to refund our money. We stayed one of the three nights and left. I will be sure to post this on every other platform I can to ensure good folks don't get taken like we did. RV Life Pro should not offer this place on their platform anymore.

The absolute worst customer service we have received on our 8 week cross country trip! We arrived with a reservation at 12:15. At the office door was a sign stating they were out to lunch until 1:30. It was locked up and no one was around. I called the number listed and spoke to two different ladies. I was informed they were off site having lunch and could not help me. I had hoped for a bit of an early check in (30 minutes) as we had a timed entry for Carlsbad NP. I asked if we could just plug in for electricity and AC for our dog, head to the NP and come back and fully check in. The campground was more than half empty, again I was very rudely I informed that there was nothing they could do to help, they were at lunch. I was told I should not even be on site since check in was a 1:00. I asked to speak with a Mano and was told Veronica was on medical leave and not available. They were both extremely rude and condescending with no appreciation of customer service. The one bathroom facility was clean. The laundry was very Expensive at $3.50 per each washer and dryer load. There are many RV parks in the area. Don’t waste your time or money on them. Give it to a business that appreciates $$.

We had to cancel our reservation last-minute due to a family medical emergency, and the park management showed incredible empathy and understanding. Even though it was outside their cancellation policy, they kindly worked with us. That level of compassion means so much—thank you! In addition, the park looks spacious when lots of spaces that have shady trees, and check in was easy and fast.

Close to a busy road and very loud. Grounds need love, overgrown in some areas, pot holes, peeling paint, just sad overall. Looks like this place was great 50 years ago. Women's bathrooms we're excellent. Men's bathrooms we're dirty. This place has MANY long-term residents. At around 6pm I couldn't count the amount of giant trucks that kept pulling in one after the other. Felt like a very male dominated RV park. Laundry was 3.75! To wash and dry.

Disappointing, Unclean, and Poorly Managed My experience at this RV campground was frustrating from start to finish. The grounds were littered with cigarette butts, making it feel dirty and neglected. Many of the occupied RV sites were unsightly—cluttered and poorly maintained by the renters—making the overall environment feel neglected and uninviting Inside the laundry building, I witnessed someone doing their laundry while their dog sat on the table where people are meant to sit and eat. This is incredibly unsanitary and reflects a lack of enforcement of basic health standards. To make matters worse, we had to cut our stay short because my husband came down with pink eye. I contacted management to explain the situation and ask for a refund for just one night, but they refused to work with me in any way—not even partial consideration. It was disappointing and showed a real lack of customer care. Overall, I would not recommend this campground. Between the poor cleanliness, lack of oversight, and inflexible management, it was not worth the stay.

Called to make reservations rude over the phone and probably same person when we checked in rude and not friendly at all. I would have given a better review. Asked if there were shade trees and somewhat quiet area .. she said can’t guarantee and that we could not request sites . She placed us with no shade and right along road even though the nights we stayed there were plenty of spots same size available with shade trees never used our entire stay by anyone. There is a great rv place to stay near the Caverns keep driving .

Adrian completely lacks customer service. She will not come at you with respect if you’re late on paying for your room, even if she calls you and you pay for it right away, she has had an attitude with me from day one of my arrival. The rest of the staff are awesome, but she sucks ! Makes you not even wanna stay there again. The room was pretty cool though, I will say that. If you do stay here, beware of Adrian.

A gem of a campground. We stopped for only one night and were pleased with the level lot and easy hookup. Laundry machines were super clean and free of dog hairs. Friendly front desk staff and maintenance staff. I liked the gated access. Would definitely stay there again.

We had an amazing experience at Carlsbad RV and Camp! From the moment we arrived, we could tell this place was well-managed and cared for. The campsites were clean and organized, and the restrooms were impressively spotless—far beyond our expectations! The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. On our third and fourth nights, we encountered a dust storm, and to our surprise, the manager went above and beyond by moving us to a cabin at no extra charge. This act of kindness was truly heartwarming and made our stay even more memorable. We highly recommend Carlsbad RV and Camp to anyone looking for a great camping experience. Especially this place is within 30 mins to Carlsbad Cavern and 50 mins to Guadalupe National Park. We will definitely be back on our next trip!
