Caseville Park (Huron County Park)

Overview

Caseville Park serves as a premier destination on the shores of Saginaw Bay in Michigan’s Thumb region. This expansive 40-acre park combines the convenience of a modern RV campground with the natural beauty of Lake Huron’s sandy shoreline. Managed by Huron County, it is well-regarded for its accessibility and vibrant community atmosphere. Whether you are looking for a short weekend getaway or a seasonal stay, the park provides a welcoming environment that highlights the best of Great Lakes living. Visitors often find themselves returning year after year to enjoy this balanced mix of outdoor recreation.

Location & Surroundings

Situated directly within the city limits of Caseville, the park offers an enviable position where the town meets the water. The primary draw is the large sandy beach, widely considered one of the best in the state for swimming and sunbathing. Because the park sits on the western edge of the peninsula, campers are treated to spectacular sunsets over Saginaw Bay nearly every evening. The park’s proximity to Main Street means that local shops, markets, and restaurants are just a short walk or bike ride away from your campsite.

Amenities & Park Features

The campground is designed to accommodate a wide variety of rigs, offering over 200 sites for travelers. Many of these sites feature full hookups, including water, sewer, and 30/50-amp electricity to ensure a comfortable stay. On-site facilities include modern bathhouses with hot showers, laundry facilities, and a large playground for children. The presence of dedicated park staff ensures the grounds remain clean and orderly. For those who enjoy active recreation, the park provides easy access to public boat launches nearby and several pavilions that are perfect for group gatherings.

Nearby Attractions & Things to Do

Beyond the beach, the surrounding area is rich with seasonal activities and local culture. The park is the heart of the famous Cheeseburger in Caseville festival, which draws visitors from across the country each August. Nature enthusiasts can head a few miles down the road to Albert E. Sleeper State Park for hiking and birdwatching. Fishing is another major draw, with the Caseville pier offering excellent opportunities to catch walleye. Exploring the local boutiques and ice cream shops downtown provides a classic Michigan summer experience for guests of all ages.

Who This Park Is Best For

This park is an ideal fit for family vacationers who want to be in the center of the action. It appeals to RVers who prioritize beach access and community events over secluded, rustic camping. Because of its level sites and full amenities, it is also a great choice for big-rig owners and those who prefer the comforts of home while parked near the water. If you enjoy a social environment, kid-friendly spaces, and iconic lakefront views, this is a must-visit destination for your Michigan travels.

Beautiful beach with ability to easily walk far out. Don't sit on the wet sand, it's smelly!

Very busy on holidays can be hard to find parking. Water temp is crisp but not freezing. Bring water shoes because there's rocks on the lake floor. Restrooms are nice. Bring your own grill. No playground

The distance from the lot to the beach front is horrendous but other than that this place is beautiful and well maintained. We always love our beach days here. They allow dogs in a designated area. There is a large bathroom and 2 large pavilions. The sand gets super hot make sure you have shoes to walk to the beachfront. The water is always nice and clean. There is a restaurant on the beach as well. It is not always open and not sure of the name.

Really nice park. Big beach area, pavilions with picnic tables, restrooms, pier. There's also a rental place right on the beach where you can rent kayak's and I believe other stuff. I think there were grills, but I'm not 100% positive. There's a campground right there at the beach, but I'm unsure on pricing. Park does close gates at dark. No cost for parking, and ample parking.

WOW - we were pleasantly surprised with the campground and beach access. We had a full hook-up site with a view of the lake. The sites near the lake are a little tight, but well worth the sunsets and access to the beach. The beach/sand is super clean and this part of Lake Huron is shallow for quite some distance. We had a great time and really enjoyed Caseville and the surrounding cities.

Very nice beach. You can tell the people take care of it. Great stop if you need a quick lunch or want to spend the day in the water!

Clean beach, wasn't too crowded (Friday afternoon, partly cloudy and low 80s temp). Water was warm, not too deep. A couple sandbars where the kids could go out and play. Not too much boat traffic/noise... They have kayak rentals, too! And a playground for kids, with a nearby pavilion and bathrooms. We walked along the beach to the city park by the pier...there were lots of small shells which my nephews loved picking through. Saw several dogs playing fetch in the water...a fun beach for everyone!
