No doors on showers just shower curtains. I prefer be able to latch a door while I’m showering. Parents behind us allowed 4 preschool aged children to scream and have multiple temper tantrums while running and playing at 7 am until they left at 9 am with no effort by parents or camp authorities to curb it. Other campers two tiers higher and farther away yelling down to shut it down and no result. We won’t be back.

I’ve been here for two weeks during a busy holiday weekend Fourth of July I’m very picky and straight to the point. My overall experience Was Great my only real complaint is the bathrooms. They were extremely clean and sanitized, but the showers themselves are outdated and very difficult to use after a little figure things out we may do with what we have. I will definitely be back for another camping trip. I would give it a 4.5 out of 5 The staff for the most part, we’re good one staff you can tell was overwhelmed with workload and was kind of blow off Ish, but I understand it was a busy weekend and they have a lot to do

Good size campground. We were here on a holiday weekend, and the place was packed. Lots of planned activities for kids. We were in the back row so we had more room, backed up to the woods.

Really nice basic campground. Excellent location alongside a very peaceful meandering riverbank with lots of opportunities for fishing. Nice open level Safari field with plenty of pull through. Not a ton of amenities, but that’s fine with me. This is also one of the most quiet campgrounds I’ve ever stayed at on the weekend.will definitely be back

I tent camped here one night last week and thought it was just wonderful. The campground staff were very friendly and welcoming and the tent camping area was secluded, nicely maintained, and beautifully quiet. The pool is currently being refurbished and there was some maintenance being done with pressure washers, but all that activity quieted down in the evening. The warm water showers were a definite plus.

I have called and emailed about getting my $50 deposit back. No response. ...they actually did eventually remove the fee after seeing this review, so I changed my review from 1 to 4 stars Other than the negative experience with getting my deposit, everything else was a positive experience. It is really is a beautiful community!

We rolled into Cheerful Valley mid-September for one night, traveling from Massachusetts toward Branson. It was on a Friday night but there were tons of available spaces. We will never figure out why they assigned us to a spot right across the road from the leech field. Because of the direction the wind was blowing, we smelled sewer gas from the time we pulled in until we pulled out the next morning. At first we thought it was a problem with our rig, but no, it was definitely coming from the campground system. Things that make you wonder why!! And charging $50 for a spot like this? We won't return here.

We stayed at Cheerful Valley for a month. We wanted to be in the Finger Lakes region. I read the other reviews and I can see why people rate it so high. It is truly a weekend campground, people roll in Friday, set up, start drinking and leave Sunday. Here are my reasons for the 3 star rating. 1. The roads are horrible, they try to fill them in with gravel but it washes out during the rain, you can tell the roads were paved once, probably when it was built. 2. The bathroom/shower house is old, outdated, and broken. It needs to be rebuilt. 3. The electric is old and outdated, two of my neighbors lost power and had to track down someone from the park to flip the breaker because there are none on the power stand, unacceptable! 4. The price they charge is not worth what you get. The staff really does try to keep the campground clean, they are always mowing and keeping the park nice looking to best of their abilities. I don't think they get much help from the owner to upgrade the park. I'm sure it is just an ATM to him. This could be a 5 star park with some updating.

Great place for some family relaxation. The cabin was simple, but perfect as a home base while we toured historical sites in the area, and the air conditioning was a nice bonus for cool sleeping. The bathroom, shower and laundry facilities were clean and well maintained.
