Columbia Falls RV Park

Overview

Columbia Falls RV Park serves as a well-manicured gateway for travelers exploring the wonders of Northwest Montana. Unlike more rugged mountain camps, this park offers a clean and orderly environment with paved interior roads and level pads. It is widely recognized for its exceptional maintenance and friendly on-site management, making it a reliable home base for those seeking a stress-free stay near some of the nation's most iconic landscapes.

Location & Surroundings

Situated right in the heart of Columbia Falls, the park provides an ideal urban-to-wilderness transition. You are just a short drive from the West Entrance of Glacier National Park, allowing for easy morning commutes to the Going-to-the-Sun Road. The park’s location is unique because it is within walking distance to local grocery stores, bakeries, and craft breweries. You can enjoy the convenience of modern infrastructure while staying just minutes away from the Flathead River and sprawling evergreen forests.

Amenities & Park Features

The park is designed to accommodate a variety of rigs, featuring both back-in and large pull-through sites with full hookups. Travelers can enjoy reliable 30 and 50-amp service, along with complimentary Wi-Fi and cable TV. The facilities are a highlight, including spotless restrooms and showers that are consistently praised for their cleanliness. Additional features include a modern laundry room, a small playground for children, and pet-friendly areas, ensuring a comfortable experience for the whole family during their Montana adventure.

Nearby Attractions & Things to Do

The primary draw is undoubtedly Glacier National Park, where visitors can hike high-alpine trails or take in the views at Lake McDonald. Beyond the national park, the area offers world-class fishing and rafting on the Flathead River. For a change of pace, the nearby town of Whitefish offers high-end dining and a vibrant arts scene. Families often enjoy local attractions like the Big Sky Waterpark or exploring the charming shops along the historic streets of downtown Columbia Falls.

Who This Park Is Best For

This park is ideal for Big Rig owners who prioritize easy navigation and level sites over a rustic camping experience. It is perfect for travelers who want to be close to Glacier National Park but prefer the security and convenience of being near town amenities and services. Whether you are a full-time RVer needing reliable connectivity or a vacationing family looking for a clean, safe, and centrally located basecamp, this park offers a predictable and high-quality stay in the Treasure State.

We camped for 4 nights and it was great. Close to Glacier Park and town amenities. Very friendly staff and beautiful property. We had a great spot in site #71 where we had lots of privacy. We definitely recommend for any friends coming to the area.

This park was very well maintained! We were there for an event and they did an incredible job accommodating all of our families and larger rigs. Staff was very polite and helpful. They are about 20 minutes away from West Glacier and a park entrance which was really nice. There is SO much to do nearby you could be here for a month and never hit it all.

Very positive experience for our one night pass through as the tail end of our visit to Glacier NP. Reasonably close to Glacier west entrance (Agpar). Bathrooms and showers were exceptional. Sites were clean and well maintained though a bit narrow (common in many parks). Staff was friendly and professional.

Columbia Falls RV is the best RV park we have stayed at! The staff was friendly and helpful. The campsite was packed gravel, level and long, and sites were easy pull in/pull out. There was beautiful green grass between each site. We had a brick patio with table and chairs under a shady tree at our site. The hookups are in great shape and easily accessible. The dump hub is covered by a fake rock which disguises it and really dresses up the campsite. We highly recommend this RV park and would definitely stay again!

This place was great. Reception was very friendly and helpful, cabin was clean and had coffee with powdered cream and different types of sugar and the shampoo/conditioner/body wash were nice and the towels were fluffy and soft. The location was great. Only 15 minutes to Glacier West and Columbia Falls was a great town with a lot to offer. We were also close to other National Forests and places for hiking, plus the Hungry Horse Dam was very impressive! We will definitely stay here again if we come back this way.

Normally I would rate this park as a 10 and everything was great again with one exception - water quality. We stayed in site 55 for two nights and the water quality was very bad. When we first pulled in I filled a bucket with water from the tap at our site before I even hooked the water up to our RV and the water was literally brown. I hooked up our RV water system and with in 15 minutes it had plugged a brand new water filter. It got slightly better as the two days progressed but we were reluctant to drink the water as it continued to be brownish and cloudy. We have never had this here before but it was not good this time.

I recently stayed overnight at Columbia Falls RV Park, and I can’t express enough how grateful I am for the hospitality. The park was clean, well-maintained, and perfectly situated for travelers exploring Glacier National Park. Even though I arrived late and didn’t get a chance to meet the staff in person right away, their understanding and welcoming attitude made all the difference. It’s rare to find such kindness, especially during an impromptu stay. The facilities were excellent, and the peaceful environment was just what I needed. I highly recommend this RV park to anyone visiting the area. Thank you, Andy, and the entire team, for making my trip a little brighter!

This is the second year we have stayed here. The staff has always been amazing and has always addressed any problems right away. It is about 30 minutes away from the West Glacier park entrance and is withing walking distance to a river, downtown, and Smiths grocery. We love this campground and look forward to future stays here.

We stayed at this RV park while visiting Glacier National Park. We originally had booked 2 nights but ended up needing 4 nights as our prior campground unexpectedly closed. The staff at Columbia Falls were very helpful in accommodating us last minute. The sites are spacious and well kept. The park is near the West entrance to Glacier which made it very convenient for us. It’s also near several good places to eat - we loved the Gunsight Saloon. Laundry facilities are clean and plentiful. All in all a great 4 nights.

We’ve been staying at this RV park for many years to visit family in town. The current owners have done a fabulous job improving already immaculate sites with new landscaping, flowers, etc. This year, we goofed up our reservation, thinking we had one more day, but we didn’t. This could have been quite a problem since the park and many around it were at capacity. The staff was very understanding (“it happens”) and found a way to make it all work without us having to move or find another park for the night. Very appreciative and will keep coming back.
