Situated just south of downtown Idaho Springs on Highway 103, the park is nestled along the scenic Chicago Creek. The elevation provides cool summer temperatures and a true alpine feel. Its location is strategically positioned at the base of the road leading to Mt. Blue Sky, making it one of the most convenient stopping points for those planning to drive the highest paved road in North America.

The park focuses on quality basics rather than flashy extras. Travelers can expect full hookup sites equipped with 30-amp and 50-amp electrical service, water, and sewer. The grounds feature well-maintained restrooms and shower facilities, as well as a dedicated laundry room. Most sites include private picnic tables, allowing guests to enjoy outdoor meals while taking in the surrounding mountain peaks and mature cottonwood trees.
Nearby Attractions & Things to Do
Adventure is never far away, with local outfitters offering whitewater rafting on Clear Creek and tours of the historic Argo Gold Mill. Just a short drive up the mountain, visitors can explore Echo Lake Park or hike the numerous trails within the Arapaho National Forest. The charming downtown area of Idaho Springs is minutes away, featuring unique boutiques and the famous Indian Hot Springs for a relaxing soak.
Who This Park Is Best For
This park is ideal for outdoor enthusiasts who prioritize location and natural beauty over resort-style amenities like swimming pools. It is a fantastic fit for couples or solo travelers looking for a quiet, clean home base while they hike or fish. The most beautiful experience ever. Mrs Winnie and husband are the kindest couple and they make sure you are OK in their property. I really appreciate their attention.

This place discriminates kids. I have friends that stay there and tell me they have spots available but every time I call and ask if they have anything long term available they ask how many people and pets and as soon as I say I have kids and one dog they tell me nothing is available.

Picturesque but sketchy cell service. The managers were not available midday on a Wednesday and they don't let vans fill their water here. There were hoses irrigating everywhere bur not a drop at any price for a poor RV to fill a 33 gal tank, i offered $20 We went to Idaho Springs RV Resort and it was $5.28 and the sweet Deana welcomed us. Don't look here for water or a favor.

Did not even get to stay here because when I called to make a reservation in July for October the woman answering the phone sounded very put out, and said it was way too early to call for October. She said to call back the beginning of September. I put it in my calendar to do so, and of course nothing was available. She was not friendly at all on the phone the second time either. We are attending a wedding nearby and this was the closest campground. Thank goodness there is plenty of competition. I wouldn't have left a review at all except both times on the phone the woman was just snaky and rude. I'm sure the campground is beautiful, just don't count on a friendly reception.

Owners are rude. Especially the older man. The spots are so small. Rent is 1050 plus electric. It's a good location and it's quiet

Pros: The grounds are so beautiful! Super close to town, and to Mount Evans. The managers are very sweet, too. Cons: No laundry room, and the internet is not good. We used a booster and were able to stream TV/movies, but went a co-working space in Golden to get work done. There are cafes in Idaho Springs where you can work, but it's pretty touristy and you always have to pay for parking.

Winnie & Glen are nice hosts. Site #12 is right on Chicago Creek so all you hear is water:) Quiet park. Close to downtown Idaho Springs. Not far from scenic drive to Mt. Evans. About 1/2 hr drive to Denver. Would love to visit again. NO BATHHOUSE OR LAUNDRY however.
