Country Roads Motorhome & RV Park

Overview

Established in 1971, Country Roads Motorhome & RV Park offers a peaceful, family-owned alternative to the bustling resort-style campgrounds typically found in the area. This park provides a wooded sanctuary where visitors can relax under a canopy of mature trees. It balances the charm of a traditional camping experience with the modern infrastructure required for today’s larger vehicles, making it a standout choice for those visiting the Waterpark Capital of the World.

Location & Surroundings

The park is ideally situated on the southern edge of Wisconsin Dells, providing easy access to the region’s famous attractions while remaining far enough away to escape the noise. Surrounded by lush Wisconsin forest, the property feels secluded and private. Travelers appreciate the proximity to the Wisconsin River and the nearby state parks, which offer a natural counterpoint to the high-energy entertainment found along the main parkway just a few minutes away.

Amenities & Park Features

Country Roads is designed with big rigs in mind, featuring extra-wide, level gravel sites. Most sites include full hookups with 50-amp service and the added convenience of private concrete patios. The park prioritizes a quiet environment and does not feature an on-site pool, which many guests find refreshing. Facilities include:

  • Clean, climate-controlled restrooms and private showers.
  • Reliable Wi-Fi access available throughout the grounds.
  • A central playground and open green spaces for recreation.
  • On-site laundry facilities and firewood available for purchase.

Nearby Attractions & Things to Do

While the park itself is a quiet retreat, it serves as the perfect base camp for exploring the Dells. You are just a short drive from Noah’s Ark Waterpark and the Kalahari Resort. For those who prefer the outdoors, Mirror Lake State Park is less than ten minutes away, offering scenic hiking and kayaking. Historic downtown Wisconsin Dells provides unique shopping, local dining, and the famous boat tours of the scenic rock formations.

Who This Park Is Best For

This park is the ideal match for big-rig owners who value spacious sites and easy maneuverability. It is a top choice for travelers seeking a quiet, mature atmosphere or families who plan to spend their days at local waterparks and want a calm place to return to at night. If you prefer a natural, wooded setting over a crowded resort environment, this park will fit your travel style perfectly.

This is a peaceful and respectful campground. People from all over the country camp here. Owners and staff are so pleasant and helpful. We stay here twice a year

We loved this park. Sites are wide and maintained. The entire park is beautiful with flowers and decorations. Bathrooms are pristine. There is a small area with refreshments in the office. Staff are super nice. We actually extended our stay by a couple weeks due to this park and area. Walmart and restaurants are very convenient. Great cell reception.

We just spent our vacation here last week and thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Great folks here running this park and the country setting so close to all the attractions made this a definite place to come back to.

Large, quiet, RV park only a few miles from the convention we were attending in Baraboo. We checked into the office with Faye and she escorted us to our site. Travel to our convention was super easy as well as to nearby shopping. We had planned to enjoy four nights at Country Roads but had to leave early due to a medical issue. The staff was very understanding. We would definitely return to Country Roads!

We absolutely loved our stay at Country Roads! It was super quiet and clean. The owner was very friendly and check in was easy. It was really close to all the activities in the Dells and it was close to a Walmart and gas. It's definitely big rig and dog friendly. We especially loved that this RV park was for "older kids" and there were no little kids running around screaming! It was so relaxing! We would definitely stay here again!

Great place that we've stayed at twice now. They keep it well maintained and the sites are nice and separated. My only issue is that they require your dog to be leashed ( which I agree with 100%) and both times we've been there, one of the camp hosts has a dog that runs through the sites loose!! It bothered us because out dog isn't great with other dogs running through our site. I guess I just think the camp host should really follow their own rules also 😊

Nice little park in The Dells area and a great place to stage out of and see the area. The sites were level, spacious enough and had some nice shade. The circular design of the park is really great to facilitate an easy in & out experience. They had a decent tornado shelter, which we made use of once. They had the usual rules but you never felt like someone was breathing down your neck, though the place didn’t look lawless and all the full-timer sites looked neat and inconspicuous. On the downside, the water pressure was so low as to be almost unusable. The power had clean voltage though they were requesting that people only run 1 a/c at a time. Wi-Fi was mostly very slow. The sewer was normal. Also, there was pretty steady road noise, though we never heard air traffic or trains. Tip: if you don’t want to fight the crowds at the Ishnala Supper Club, go to the Cimaroli’s Supper Club. We had a couple of great visits there and some very good food.

Quiet site. Sign out front says "For the older children." That is what appears to be found here. Most everyone speaks, and waves a gracious hello. Plenty of room to walk around for exercise. Conveniently located close to stores for convenience of needed or wanted items. Workers are busy keeping the grounds cleared and clean. Also some people working flower beds helping mother nature with her pretty flowers. A nice place to visit and return to if in the area.

Beautiful campground in Lake Delton area. Very clean, well-kept, access to a shelter house for our large group of 26. Only thing lacking are trash barrels or bins for dog waste. There's a large grassy area for pets (no fencing, unfortunately) but even there, no barrels can be found. Waste must be carried to the one and only dumpster in the center of the park. Other than that inconvenience, this is a wonderful, peaceful place aimed primarily at adults.

Loved this campground. Very friendly staff, beautiful grounds, clean and well set up bathrooms and showers. A store and laundry on the property. I wish more campgrounds were like this one. It is responsibly priced and close to downtown and all the attractions. I would give it 10 stars if I could.
