Creekwood Farm RV Park

Overview

Creekwood Farm RV Park offers a serene escape nestled in the heart of the North Carolina mountains. This destination provides a quiet, farm-like setting that contrasts beautifully with the rugged peaks surrounding it. Visitors often enjoy the restful atmosphere and the gentle sound of Jonathan Creek flowing along the edge of the property. It is a well-maintained park that prioritizes a genuine mountain experience over high-traffic resort noise, maintaining a quaint charm that feels like a hidden gem.

Location & Surroundings

Situated just outside Waynesville, NC, the park sits in a lush valley near the Blue Ridge Parkway. The surroundings are characterized by rolling green pastures and dense forests. Because it is located near the gateway to the Great Smoky Mountains, guests enjoy easy access to scenic drives and crisp mountain air. The natural creek access provides a cooling influence and a picturesque backdrop for morning coffee or evening strolls around the park grounds.

Amenities & Park Features

The park is equipped with essential modern comforts designed for a seamless stay. Guests have access to full hookup sites that accommodate both 30 and 50-amp connections. Many sites feature level gravel pads and are situated right against the water for premium views. On-site facilities include clean laundry rooms, modern bathhouses, and a historic barn store stocked with local goods and RV supplies. The spacious pavilion serves as a community hub for social gatherings and relaxation.

Nearby Attractions & Things to Do

Adventure seekers will find plenty to do within a short drive of the park. Exploring the Cataloochee Valley to spot wild elk is a favorite local pastime. The vibrant downtown area of Waynesville offers unique boutiques and craft breweries, while the historic Biltmore Estate in Asheville is a popular day trip. For outdoor enthusiasts, the nearby Great Smoky Mountains National Park provides endless opportunities for hiking, photography, and wildlife observation throughout the seasons.

Who This Park Is Best For

This park is an ideal choice for travelers seeking a peaceful mountain retreat rather than a bustling, activity-filled resort. It appeals strongly to couples and retirees who appreciate a quiet evening by a campfire under the stars. Because of its big-rig friendly sites and reliable utility connections, it also serves as an excellent home base for long-term travelers looking to explore Western North Carolina in depth without sacrificing comfort.

This was our first stay at Creekwood Farms. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The facilities were clean. The property was beautiful. The scheduled events were a nice surprise as well. My husband also enjoyed playing the piano at the event center. Being away from home and unable to access a piano, that was a treat! Thanks so much for everything!

We absolutely loved our stay at Creekwood Farm RV Park! The location couldn’t be more perfect — surrounded by beautiful mountain views and just a short drive to everything in Waynesville, Maggie Valley and Asheville. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the entire park is meticulously maintained. You can tell they take real pride in keeping everything clean, peaceful, and well cared for. We can’t wait to come back!

We had a great week long stay at Creekwood Farms RV! This is the friendliest place we have ever stayed. Employees are so helpful, and we felt safe and welcomed. The creek is absolutely beautiful and our pup had the best time splashing around the water. The restrooms were always very clean, and the laundry facilities were clean and inviting as well. Don't miss going to see the elk at Cataloochee, incredible! Waynesville and Maggie Valley are so close, so there's lots to do if you tire of sitting by the creek and soaking in nature.

This was our first time taking our camper and we picked the best place. Greeted immediately by the cutest fall decor! The staff was so friendly and welcoming! The campground was clean and so were the bathroom/bathhouses. We stayed at site #68 and it was right on the creek. My 3 year old had a blast playing in the creek. We can’t wait to come back soon.

We stayed here for one night as we were heading home from a long cross country road trip. This was by far the nicest of all places we stayed. Very clean and nice flat sites. Staff were super nice and helpful. My only disappointment was a large amount of dog poo was right beside our site where we hooked up, and we had to dodge the already flattened piles. Regardless, we would come back for a longer stay when we want to visit the Maggie Valley area.

This is one of our favorite campgrounds! Everyone is so friendly, the staff is amazing, the campground is kept clean and well manicured and the cook-out and other events were a special treat! We've been three years in a row and can't wait to go back again!

One of the nicest, well-run campgrounds I've ever stayed at. The grounds and sites are meticulously groomed by staff that seem happy to be there. A lovely creek -with access behind the campgrounds. Clean, cobweb-free electric pedestals- level, properly installed sewer connections. Friendly, helpful staff. * Private, spacious, *clean restroom/shower facilities attached to a well-appointed meeting room that includes a laundry room ($2 a load). Family friendly events (fishing lessons, hot dog night etc) at "Bear Park" where I enjoyed a free Father's Day waffle/bacon breakfast.Highly recommend!

Creekwood Farms was so quiet and very enjoyable. Our check in was easy and the staff was very friendly. The grounds are definitely well maintained. Even though we did not use the showers I must say for a campground they were very large and clean! I was impressed! Hope to return again!

We spent the night on our way south and we definitely are going to return. The park was clean, full service and a beautiful spot right on a rolling creek. We saw kids tubing down the creek having a great time, and the ice cream social was a huge hit with our grandson. Staff were outstanding, so kind and considerate.

The most amazing bathrooms/showers we have experienced. Great campground. The only negative is there isn't anything to do in a walkable distance from the campground.
