Our stay at this campground, necessitated by a change in plans, did not align with our previous experiences at KOA Holiday locations. The facilities were noticeably in need of significant maintenance and repair. We were informed that laundry services were available, with washers provided at no cost and dryers priced at one dollar. Upon accessing the laundry facility, we found that a majority of the washers were non-functional, and only one dryer was operational, needless to say it took forever to get laundry done as there was a waiting line for the one dryer. We were also told that it wasn't safe to leave our E-bikes attached to our vans because of theft issues. No noticeable security on premises. We inquired about leaving our bikes locked overnight in the office and luckily the girl in the office no problem with it and was very kind and understanding. The bathrooms were shutdown for cleaning for two hours in the middle of the afternoon, this didn't seem like an ideal time as many were returning from hikes etc. Bottom line.....this KOA needs work! 😩 🧺 🚲 🚽 🚧 #Campground #KOA #Maintenance #Laundry #Security #Travel

This was our first stay with KOA and it didn't begin so well. After arranging our site in advance, we arrived only to find our site had been swapped with someone else who didn't like his spot so they put us there instead. Of course, we arrived just after 5pm, tried multiple times to call and reach someone but never got any call back (even the next day). Not a fun way to start the visit. Otherwise, the campground was fine with laundry facilities and clean showers.

Not a good KOA. They should revoke their KOA status. Rough facilities. Empty gift shop. Falling apart dog walk, which you have to walk through a hole filled field to get to. Laundry and bathrooms are meager. Uneven rv campsites, poor water pressure. Patio furniture provided at our campsite was super old, moldy and falling apart. We decided to leave early because it was so bad, no refund for early departures. Just bad. Stay somewhere else.

Beautiful setting! Horrible upkeep. The layout of the camping areas and amenities are confusing with no signage. The back bathrooms were a mess and no warm water for showering. The dog park is falling apart and there were large stalks of hemlock in the back part of camping areas

The campground is nice and there are some nice tent camping spots that are secluded. The gal tried to force me to take a full hookup site even though I don’t need it. We settled on a partial hookup, which was fine, but the park was nowhere near full like she had said. The showers were smelly and it was obvious the bathroom buildings have been there probably since the park first opened. The location wasn’t terrible, but I wish I had picked a park south of Crescent City instead.

We loved this park as we could stay amongst the beautiful redwood trees! Gravel sites with lots of shade. Our site was situated kind off oddly, because the hydrant and electrical pole was on the opposite side, but thankfully we had a long enough electric cord and water hose that we could run them under the camper. There were lots of campers and little cabins here, but they are mostly arranged so that they aren’t too close together. Lovely park, we’d definitely stay here again.

This was the worst camping experience we’ve had. I booked this as a KOA member because we wanted showers after having stayed in national park campgrounds. The national park campgrounds were super clean. These were not. And out of six showers, four were out of order and one of the working ones had bubblegum in it. We never saw the people working there, as their office hours are 11:00 to 4:00, so if you want to do anything with your day other than stay at the campground, you won’t see them. No nice outdoor seating through the entire camp. The volleyball net might as well not even exist as about half of it does not, and to top it off they had a sprinkler running all through the night on our campsite, and as I said, no staff in sight to turn it off.

This is a nice campground. The grounds are clean and well kept, and we overall had a really great time here. The kids had a blast and made fast friends with other camp kids. The dogs enjoyed the dog run area and the walks around the grounds and neighborhood. There never seemed to be anyone in the office during our stay, however, and the showers and laundry area are in need of some attention.

Although we stayed only one night, we were thoroughly impressed by this KOA. The staff were helpful and courteous, the bathrooms were clean and well-maintained, and the grounds were impeccably kept. The location is excellent for exploring the Giant Redwoods as well as visiting the ocean. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

I was scheduled to get a 50 amp pull through, when I arrived I was told they had an issue with the septic. I was put into a back in but the site has not been gardening maintained so I had a foot between the bushes, I called the front desk and was met with a super lacking response of "well we are full, maybe try restarting your back in" ! I found the maintenance team and I was able to get him to trim the site, it took 45 minutes for him to cut back all the shrubs and another 20 minutes to pickup. The site was definitely too small for my 32ft 5R. I adjusted my rig a few times to just get a spot where my stairs come out and my main slide out even with all that trimmed I still only had about a foot between the bushes not to mention this back in site had a neighbor behind me like 3.5 feet from my rear to their rear. Next morning I go to flush and what no water! The entire campground was without water not even the onsite dump station. The park itself is pretty cool with redwood and gravel roads and small cabins, it was a good size but had really small sites and a half jack dog park. If you want rustic tent or cabins this is your spot. This place needs a lot of work.
