This campground is amazing! They offer spacious campsites OR comfy cabins. Their customer service is excellent and they keep the bathrooms and showers clean. The store has lots of cool items for sale plus all of the camping necessities in case you forget something. Highly recommended for a weekend (or longer) getaway! Many fun events on the calendar throughout the season. Family friendly and pets are welcome!

Visited with Scout Troop Oreland 1. It was the perfect outing for camping and for fulfilling a requirement toward the Geology Merit Badge. This is a great trip to take with kids, but it's also a trip to take with friends. Kudos to the staff, who are friendly, knowledgeable, and accessible. Shout out to Pat whose enthusiasm for geology and nature's wonders is sincere and contagious.

We really enjoyed camping and mining here. It's small quaint and everyone was extremely happy and friendly, both staff and fellow campers. We yielded so many crystals, the kids never got bored. The event they held had many vendors and was well planned. Great experience!

The cabins are so cute and I had such an amazing time with my trip here! The mines are also very nice and we found some very cute crystals on matrix and some water clear gemmy ones! The gift shop area is also very clean and cute. Amazing experience for the price! The bathrooms could use some extra love but aside from that I have zero complaints!

We had an absolute blast at Crystal Grove Diamond Mine and Campground! The mining adventure was a huge hit with our twins, who loved searching for Herkimer diamonds in the beautiful quartz crystal mines. It was like a real-life Minecraft excursion! The playground was a great bonus, providing a fun spot for the kids to burn off energy. And when we needed a break, our cozy cabin was the perfect place to relax. The campsite itself was lovely, with shaded areas and picturesque streams. We appreciated the amenities, including the camp store, bathhouses, and picnic tables. But what really made our stay stand out was the warm hospitality of owners Maggie and Christopher. They made us feel welcome and ensured that our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. We can't wait to come back and do it all again! Crystal Grove Diamond Mine and Campground is definitely a hidden gem that's perfect for families and adventure-seekers alike!

Wonderful place to camp! Our tent site was right on the creek and it was just beautiful scenery! If you stay at the campsite, they give you early access to the mine as well! The shop at the campground was very affordable. They have WiFi at the camp store for those who need it. Rest of the area had 0 connection (which is completely normal for a campground)! At the mine we found many awesome Herkimer Diamonds! Only downside was you had to pay a quarter machine for the shower, there was only 1 women’s shower (not sure if they had 1 or 2 men’s) as well. I definitely recommend this campground & mine. Such a peaceful, beautiful stay!

Wonderful place! Staff are very friendly and helpful! We decided to take my daughter (11) mining since she loves collecting crystals and we enjoy it ourselves , The grove dose not disappoint, we have been twice now and enjoyed our day , it’s really cool to see your kids head pop out of a dirt hole giddy at her finds. I will say though I wouldn’t advise this for littles, expect them to get bored fast if they can’t chill in one place and dig in dirt for a good amount of time, however you can walk nature trails, ride bikes and camp (very clean grounds) and close to other outdoor activities in the area.

Although I have not personally stayed at Crystal Grove, the atmosphere there can not be beat. They do so much for the community. Every Halloween they put on a Halloween trick or treat where the kids can go from cabin to cabin that is decked out by them and volunteers while getting candy. You can often see Joel and Billie Jo going from camp site to camp site with their golf cart dropping off firewood to thir guests. Did you also know that Billie Jo puts on an annual women's retreat? She sets up tents and decks oit the inside in a spiritual way, that makes me jealous as a man , that I can not attend. If you want to talk about honesty, integrity and customer service Joel and Bilky Jo take pride in having all three while passing it along to their guests. If you want a great camping experience while becoming one with the earth then Crystal Grove is your place to go.

We went to Crystal Grove Diamond Mine yesterday. The good: parking, guest services at check in, and plenty of good flora to photograph. The bad: where to start...the map isn't exactly clear on where to go, and we ended up turned around in the campsite before we figured it out. The supply list should absolutely include steel toed shoes, because swinging a hammer or sledge without them could get a toe broken. Also, don't waste your money on gear from Home Depot (chisels, hammers, picks, etc) because dolomite is super hard like granite. You need specific tools to break much of this rock .Also, the mines were very picked over I don't think it's the best practice to keep sections open where the vein has played out. All in all, pretty underwhelming.

Took my kids there yesterday and they loved it! My daughter won't stop talking about all her stuff she found. My son had a blast playing in the dirt! Thank you to the amazing lady in the gift shop! Definitely a memory my kids and i won't forget!
