Location & Surroundings
The park is strategically located right along US Highway 2, making it incredibly easy to find and access for large rigs. It sits on the western edge of Ironwood, just a short distance from the Wisconsin border. Despite being close to the highway, the sites are tucked into a lush forest canopy, offering shade and a refreshing Northwoods atmosphere. The surrounding area is characterized by the rugged terrain of Gogebic County, with the Montreal River flowing nearby, marking the scenic boundary between Michigan and Wisconsin.

- Water and electric hookups at most sites
- A convenient on-site dump station for waste management
- Modern playground equipment for children
- Picnic tables and fire rings for evening gatherings

In any season, the nearby Copper Peak provides breathtaking views of three states and Canada from its famous vista point.
Who This Park Is Best For

Lovely campground by the side of the road in Ironwood. Stopped twice on a trip to and from Minnesota. Very reasonable rates, full hook up sites if needed. Clean showers. Quiet campground. Would stay again.

Really enjoyed my 1 night stay here, the camp host lady was very friendly, prompt, and she actually let us moved to a different spot since as the one we booked didn't have much shade and was kind of close to the busy road with my dog. Shower and bathroom facilities were older but very clean. Would definitely stay again.

Very nice campground that is very convenient right off of route two, however being so close to the road, it is noisy especially if you're in a tent like i was. That was to be expected though. Sites did not appear to be very level, although I believe that is listed on the reservation site. Overall a nice campground

Very nice campground for a quick night or two. The full hook-up spots are very close to each other with no shade. The electric only spots offer a little shade and are not on top of each other. The bath house was clean and functional. There are 2 spickets for potable water and a dump station. The park is adjacent to a moderately busy road. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. I paid 40 per night. If I was to stay here again, I'd choose the electric only site for some shade and breathing room from my neighbor(s).

Very nice campground. Nothing fancy but clean, level sites, nice bathhouse, cleanest shower of any campground we’ve stayed. We were on back row and didn’t have road noise, pretty quiet. Verizon WiFi was good.

The campground is very nice, the restrooms are older but well maintained. The highway can be a little loud at night but still a nice place for a quick stay.

This place is affordable and great for a rest up and camping. The bathrooms are well maintained and there’s two showers with hot water. Our camp host Cathy was knowledgeable and friendly. The only thing is the park is close to the highway.

Local Ironwood RV park. Very quiet park in September even though it is right on US2. Most lots are treed, so they're shaded. My lot was for power only, but the park does have about a dozen full hook up sites. Good hot water in the showers, and a full dump station. Overall great place to stop for a night or the week.

Location right off the highway. For a quick stay, it’s perfect. Not super kid friendly. There is a set of swings, but “quiet time” is until 8:00am, and not a lot of space to roam and explore without being right next to someone else. So if you have kids that wake at dawn like ours lol, best to get out early or stay somewhere else. Most sites are small, but we got a nice roomy one, site 9! Overall, a good stay. Price was good!

Great for a cheap overnight stay. The campground host, Cathy, was very friendly and helpful. Go in understanding that you get a cheaper site than nearby campgrounds for a reason. It's a small campground near the highway, so traffic can be noisy. Don't expect to sleep in much. It's right in town with easy access to everything the area has to offer.
