Lots of lake front campsites operated by GA DNR. Facilities in VG condition. Staff very friendly. The lake is limited to 25hp or less power boats. Very tranquil except for the truck traffic which is pretty audible. Train whistles are heard regularly - it reminded me of my childhood. My wife was less charmed. The lake is operated by GA Power and serves as cooling water for the power plant. We didnt see it until we took our kayaks out. As this is a campground there are no other facilities other than a boat ramp and a few pontoon/ kayak rentals. The campground is considered part of nearby High Falls State Park.

Beautiful and peaceful state park great for kayaking.

It's clean and has bathrooms in the boat ramp parking lot area. Other than a boat ramp and campground there's not much day use stuff to do. I would not swim here... Read the signs about the water quality .

One of my new favorites beautiful over 300 acre lake Juliette. No bad campsites in my opinion great for a relaxing time. Fried Green Tomatoes restraunt right down the road a piece.

Beautiful and small campground! Our site was right on the lake. The bathhouse was nearby, and the playground looked like a lot of fun.

Highway noise but other than that, mostly quiet with clean restrooms (easy/short walk) and was a well kept large campsite (#20) right on the lake.....ashes from the fire pit and grill were cleaned out and that's usually one of the most recurring "issues" I have at most campgrounds that I have been to so it was nice that they were cleaned out upon my arrival :) - 4 stars only because of the road noise unfortunately :/

We camped for the first time at Dames Ferry State Park campground back in November and we loved it! Small campground. Tried to take some pictures of each campsite, each picnic shelters, both bathhouse and playground. We enjoyed watching and feeding the ducks and squirrels. They clean the bathrooms everyday and one guy blew off around the bathrooms and road some. The bathroom across of camp site # 21 are new. Not a lot of water pressure in those showers to me. The other bathrooms are heated and it was nice on those cool rainy nights when we wanted to shower up there and not in our camper. Rained just about the whole time we were there. I Loved taking pictures of the sunset each night. They have firewood you can buy. Also have a small library like birdhouse you can get a book and leave one in its place. The water is very clear and beautiful! We will definitely be back.

A great little state campground with water views nearly all sights. The shower rooms look new, we didn't go inside. Kids play area looked inviting. Tried to stay extra days into the weekend but they were booked full. We stayed Nov 9 10th 22.
