Great place to bring your family and dogs! Staff is friendly. Spacious RV spots. Nice lake and gameroom.

I wish they would let me pick zero stars, but I had to choose one. I’ve traveled extensively in my RV and stayed at most campgrounds across Virginia, and unfortunately, Davis Lakes Campground stands out as the worst in terms of customer service. The website sets one expectation, but the reality when you arrive is completely different. Rules seem to vary depending on who you are. Some guests are told they can’t stay longer than a month, yet there are RVs clearly parked there for a year or more. I personally know of two tenants who have lived there for over two years. Unless you’re friends with or related to the family, don’t expect fair or consistent treatment. Oh, and if you wanna have company while you’re camping, expect to pay a fee for that as well so if you have any family members that live in the area that would like to visit you make sure you charge them a cover charge because there’s gonna be a fee. Also, if you’re not a fan of snakes, be warned—there are plenty around.

Decent campground. Thought it was a little pricey and then felt a bit nickel & dimed for things like using the AquaGlide or staying 2 hours past checkout. We came during a heat wave and the lake was super, super warm - like bath water. But the water is clean, beach is nice and our kids had an absolute blast on the AquaGlide. We all paddleboarded too! Definitely super family friendly. Super, super clean and air conditioned bath houses. Definitely could earn 5 stars with some simple upgrades and more modern amenities.

It feels like you have to know someone to be allowed to stay here. The staff was incredibly rude. I asked about staying for a month with my 30-amp RV, and the woman I spoke to immediately said it wasn’t an option. She told me that if I did stay, I would have to pay for sewer. I don’t see anything about paying for sewage. She also claimed there were no available spots, but I saw at least 7 or 8 empty sites as I was leaving. My father-in-law had a similar experience when he tried to stay for two weeks. They gave him the same runaround and said no one is allowed to stay for a full month—but I personally know two people who live there year-round and don’t work for the park.

We've enjoyed our trips to Davis Lakes both times we've visited. The most recent was Easter weekend. They held an awesome Easter egg hunt for the kids following a super fun arts and crafts time. The kids all got a ton of eggs with goodies in each one, as well as their own Easter baskets. My daughter was so thrilled and talked about it for days. We will be planning our summer visits soon! We also love the lakes and the beautiful walk around the grounds.

This was our first camping experience with a travel trailer and I wished it never ended. This campground is very nice and clean and the staff is very friendly! I loved the atmosphere and the 3 lakes... I highly recommend staying here!

Friendly and helpful staff. The park was clean and quiet. Beautiful lake. We only stayed two nights but wish we could have stayed longer.

We were in the area visiting my daughter so we reserved a site for us and them. Nice quiet camp, it was past swimming season but they have a great sandy swim beach area. It would be lots of fun in the summer. They have 3 lakes. You can fish in all of them. It appears to be a lot of full timers that have the lakefront sites. A playground would be a nice addition for the campground

To say we were novices would be an understatement. This was our third camping trip and it was a great experience. First of all the camp is beautiful. There are three lakes with free fishing and no license needed. The owners guided us in to our site, made sure we were settled and checked on us on our departure. We plan to come back next month. Very quiet campground.
