We had a very interesting time at this campground. We are searching for a campground we can visit both to and from our primary destination a couple times a year. The campground is relatively easy to access from the main highway nearby. Once you get here, it turns into a dirt and gravel road with enough pot holes to make you a bit uncomfortable in varying elevation changes. The office gal was friendly and escorted us to the spot. The space was so tight that we were forced to run over a neighbors fire pit in order to squeeze in. We have a 28' travel trailer. The roads had washed out due to recent rain, and we were concerned with getting stuck due to the angle, elevation climb, and wet conditions. You can see where the road washes out a bit during rain. The road and surrounding area is also covered in leaves and general natural debris, which adds to the trickiness. It was quiet at night though, and the people around us were permanent residents with old run down trailers. I wish we could say we'd come back, but the building list of drawbacks and concerns will prevent that. We won't be back again.

its all camper there, not good for weekend tent camping, no privacy, very very bad management and very rude and disrespectful, felt like being in a HOA community if you want to have a weekend get away this is not the place. your manager is a lair, quite time starts at 10AM, she was bothering us since 6PM, and we went into the tent 9PM, since we didnt want her to take our peace we woke up at 8AM what noise are you talking about, on top of it her ducks actually disturbed our sleep like i said, worst people and rude management, even though we left campsite super clean, they were lying about we leaving trash behind.....very very rude people PS: new owners you need to pay close attention to your employees, i see a lot of negativity to your camp ground on socially media specifically after the ownership change.

The wife and I wanted to spend our 40th anniversary some place beautiful, warm, quite, great view of the lake, close to the river, & family oriented. Deep River Campground checked every box that we were looking for and then some. We were welcomed with Happy Anniversary balloons hanging from our site marker post, and a card was placed on our windshield, we weren't expecting that! We lo staying here>ve our stay here this week, and look forward to coming back in the near future. We definitely recommend coming by here for a relaxing visit.

We were shocked when we returned to Deep River this year. The atmosphere is nothing like it used to be back in its hayday. The place is a ghost town now. No kids to be seen all weekend. The only campers seemed to live there. What's happening with the website because it seems to be from a completely different campground? Another family business destroyed by commerce? Zooland Campground is a great option.

This campground is a hidden gem! Over Memorial Day weekend two of the owners were there to escort guests to their sites. The maintenance crew was hard at work. Everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful. The bathhouse is spacious and was very clean. The new ownership is paying close attention to necessary improvements and actively implementing those improvements.

We are staying at spot #9 and there isn’t much place for my daughter to play due to all the rocks. But it is such a nice campground. The only noise you hear is the diesel trucks leaving at 4am but I have a 1 year old and it doesn’t bother her. Everyone here is super friendly & the owner is so polite. I definitely recommend Deep River. The washer and dryer are also such a nice amenity.

It’s was a great site. We got there and were greeted by staff to make sure if help was needed they could. It’s pull through sites, we were on site 7 and it was a little to tight in our 27ft travel trailer to pull through when leaving but it really wasn’t any concern because there was plenty of room to back out. The sites in that area are close together but everyone was super friendly. There were picnic tables and fireplaces at every site. The amenities were cool and the trails were a lot of fun. It’s a site that has a lot of workers on it so all the diesel trucks leave early in the morning and it’s pretty quiet all day until around 4pm then everyone starts getting home. Even after everyone is home is still pretty quiet. It’s $1,100 monthly which seems expensive but we came from a site that had zero amenities and was a long term and they were charging $1600 per month so we didn’t think this price was all that bad for the amount of things to get to do on the site. 10/10 would defiantly recommend.

We stayed there for 3 months while I was in town for a work contract. Initially staff was very friendly and welcoming. We were greeted at the front, shown to our campsite, and given a welcome bag. They were also accommodating when we had to postpone our visit due to Covid. The campground was very quiet and people generally kept to themselves. However, after staying for a while, we felt less and less comfortable and welcome. We found the showers weren’t cleaned often or well lit. We had leaves blown under our camper and onto all of our stuff. One day we were welcomed to this sign in the bathroom (picture below - where are these cameras?!?). Staff seemed annoyed with us waving to them around the park. Also, there wasn’t my much access to the Deep River. We attempted to explore a bit, but it was difficult to get to. There was a tiny, muddy beach with a broken set of chairs to sit on by the river. I know part of this is due to Covid, and the primitive camping sites not being used, but still disappointing. Of note, there are a lot of ducks and rabbits around. I didn’t take away any stars for that, but just like to make a note of it in case you have dogs like mine that like to make snacks of the droppings.
