This place was perfect for me. Had a job that kept me in Owensboro for almost 8 months. The location was central to most of the areas I had to work. Electric and sewer hookups worked fine. Big lot to stretch out. Halloween decorations were great! Trick or treating fun! Lots of families celebrating every weekend. Package deliveries accepted. Camp store was well stocked and accessible. Front desk staff were so friendly and helpful. Pizza was great. Enjoyed my first Burgoo experience at this park. Double AA section was the best!! Friendly folks and fun times! Karaoke rocked!! Keep up the good work Diamond Lake. —Double A Dave will see you on the flip side!

The campground is very busy with long term and year round residents. We felt it was more like staying in a campground "subdivision" than an actual campground! The property is lovely but in need of a good cleaning. Everyone was welcoming and we enjoyed our stay. It was a bit too noisy though so we probably won't stay again. Everyone is buzzing around on golf carts all hours of the day and night! It's not real peaceful with all that racket! Also, its a huge campground so weekends are crazy!

Went our first time during 2025 boo fest. The grandkids had a great time. We will definitely be back. They have so many activities we had trouble fitting them all in. The staff are super friendly and helpful. You can tell they put a lot of effort into planning gone boo fest. The kids said the haunted house was one of the best they had been to. Thank you to everyone there for helping us make great memories with our grandkids.

We were there for a BBQ competition. The facilities and staff were great. Only negative was the roads are a little narrow and the camp sites are close together. It is definitely laid out like the older campground it is. We are looking forward to coming back next year for another great BBQ comp.

Very friendly people. My son loved the go carts! We did the paddle boats too. The golf cart was a great bonus for traveling around the property. There were lots of friendly kids, ducks, fur babies, and campfires. We felt safe & enjoyed the smell of bacon cooking outside in the mornings. There is a gift shop and a restaurant on site. The cottage was clean & pet friendly. We felt like we stepped back in time while staying there!

We stayed in a motel room for 2 nights. It was super clean and we were very comfortable. The resort is well kept. We were there for Customer Appreciation Day. Food was excellent and I found a new band to follow. Dan Hall and his band were great! We enjoyed touring the new campers from Owensboro RV also. Nice to look around and not be bothered by a sales pitch. All in all it was a very nice weekend :)

We have stayed here for the last 4 camping seasons at least one weekend each. Our teenagers liked the many options at the park. New owners have taken it over. Seems like they are making a few changes and hopefully updating an older “resort”. One change we definitely were not thrilled about is the cost of the go carts. A huge benefit for campers that were already paying a premium to camp was a reasonably priced day or weekend pass for the carts. Rides are now $8 and $10 depending on the track. That gets expensive quick, especially with multiple kids. Perhaps the new owners could look at offering campers a reasonable day pass since they are also paying to stay, eat, shop, etc. $20 was definitely too cheap for the pass before, but $35-$40 would be reasonable for a day of go carting at a campground and seems fair. The weather was crummy the weekend we visited but the day the big drift bikes could have been open they weren’t. Our teens were here specifically for those and were disappointed. Overall it is a unique place and worth visiting. We may give the owners a chance to make some updates and hopefully more reasonable price changes on go carts before returning. Fishing and putt putt are included and a nice addition to the camping stay. We enjoyed the nice trees, lakes, space and size of the park.

We happened to be in town during the flooding and needed to relocate because the campground we were staying at, north of Owensboro, sadly was impacted by the flood water. We were real happy to find a spot here and it ended up being one of our favorites. We travel every year from March to November throughout the midwest and places like this are an unusual gem. We loved having so much space, shade and the area to be able to walk. Our AT&T had a stronger signal then our Verizon however we were able to work using both (site E7).

The Tiny House was charming, but it’s definitely not ideal for larger adults. With four big guys in our group, watching two of them climb into the lofts through the small opening and then get back down was pure comedy—fun to watch, as long as you weren’t the one doing it. The lofts are better suited for younger, more agile individuals who haven’t yet lost the flexibility of youth. My only critique is that it would have been helpful to include this detail in the description. If we’d known, we likely would have opted for two of their hotel rooms instead.
