We stayed in a $95 waterfront RV spot for one night - the location was as described - the back of the spot is right on the bank of the Chester river and it is a 'back in' spot, with room for slides/your vehicle to park next to the RV. Each spot had a picnic table, fire pit, and full hookups. There is a general store with very helpful staff where you can get souvenirs, sundries, essential items, ice cream, and also a 'take a book/leave a book' area. There is a good sized pool for the summer, and several bath houses. We enjoyed sitting next to our RV with a roaring campfire on the bank of the river with a view of farm fields/marsh across the river, and an occasional boat going by. If you have kayaks you can launch right there from the bank. There is also a long dock a short walk away if you prefer 'sittin' on the dock of the bay'. Check in was quick and they provide a 'welcome packet' with info on restaurants /grocery / entertainment.

Yes... more than half of this campground appears to be permanent residents with roofed-over campers and an unsettling amount of yard ornamentation... but the section for transient (nightly or weekly campers) is quite nice. The location near Chestertown is great. I stayed in a site by the river... it was not super level, but it was fine. The view was great and all the hookups functioned well. Communication from the campground was EXCELLENT and the brief interaction I had with employees was smooth and easy. Sites are a little tight, but I don't really care. Didn't try the wifi, didn't go into the store. Clearly some investment is being made here. Most of the transient sites have cement rings around their fire pits. Things seem to be coming along. Would go back.

Awesome spot right in the Chester River..We had a week off and were supposed to go to the Outer Banks , but weather was too crazy, So we decided to book a campsite near my old home(s) in Kent County,.Betterton and Galena. This is an RV park where there are a plethora of seasonal Perma sites. But there are many transient sites..we were right on the river, Super beautiful sunsets every night. Very close to Chestertown, and amazing dining. My husband and I had an amazing time at Duck Neck. Staff, and everyone we met were super friendly, and helpful as well. Would definitely come back

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐ My band and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Duck Neck Campground. Huge thanks to Joe for making it all happen and to Ellen and the entire staff for treating us like family during our stay. This is such a unique campground right along the river. We thoroughly enjoyed fishing off the docks and swimming in the pool. The pool chairs were the nice kind, perfect for stretching out and catching some sun. The general store had everything we needed, s’mores, refreshments, pool gear, fishing items, snacks, and yes, they even sell ice cream… how can it get any better than that? 🍦On top of all that, the management went above and beyond by serving us fresh Maryland blue crabs before we hit the road, such a special touch that made our stay unforgettable. We can’t recommend Duck Neck Campground enough. Thanks again for the amazing hospitality, we’ll definitely be back! Enjoy some photos from our stay!

Wonderful Waterfront Experience We recently stayed at Duck Neck Campground on a waterfront site, and it was absolutely delightful. I'm happy to give them 5 stars for their exceptional service and amenities. The staff were incredibly helpful throughout our stay, making us feel welcome and assisting with any questions we had. The campground itself was well-maintained, with our site offering a nice view despite neighbors being a bit close. Fortunately, everyone was respectful and quiet, creating a peaceful atmosphere. The new barn/pavilion was a highlight, providing enjoyable entertainment with a DJ one night and live band on another. It was the perfect way to unwind after a day of outdoor activities. Their store stocked the basics and featured really good ice cream, which is always a hit. The check-in process was easy, and we even secured a reservation for next year without any hassle. I appreciated their flexibility when I requested a change to another site for our future visit. The campground is clean and well-kept. The bathhouse was clean every time we used it, and we really enjoyed the path through the woods—no trash anywhere, just a nice walk through nature. The seasonal campsites also looked like they’re being taken care of, which speaks to how well the whole place is maintained. While there was a fee for Wi-Fi, it was reasonably priced and worked well throughout our stay, ensuring we stayed connected when needed. Overall, Duck Neck Campground exceeded our expectations, and we're already looking forward to our return visit next year.

My husband, pup, and I just got our first trailer and decided to journey up to Duck Neck campground for our first trip with her. We opted for a waterfront location right up near the river and the view was stunning! Felt like we had plenty of room to set up, our neighbors were respectful and relaxed, and the hook up was easy. We especially loved the convenience of having a working bathhouse right on site with hot showers and toilets (not portable toilets!) especially because we had a mishap with getting our own hot water working in the trailer. You just cannot underestimate a clean bathroom and hot shower your first time camping! It’s quiet, peaceful, and there are two small dog park areas which were so nice for our pup since she was missing the urge to run around like she does at home! All dogs are expected to be on leash and there are small stations to clean up dog waste, at your convenience. There’s also a pool (likely not open until MDW), a park for kids, a small shore area, and a barn where they plan to host more community activities for campers (they provided us a list of the upcoming events this season). There’s a small convenience store with some basics and essentials which is great if you feel like you’re missing a little something. Not to mention the campground is only some minutes away from a grocery story, restaurants, even a farmers market at what looked to be downtown! Highly recommend: Modern Stone Age Kitchen. Now for the next best part, all staff that we interacted with, especially Jess and Joe, were extremely friendly and helpful! They made accommodations for us, answered all of our questions, and made time to hear out any requests we had. Real, genuine people, who you can tell really care about the grounds and making it a great experience for everyone. They are the sweetest! You can see they’re working hard to continue to make improvements and let this place shine for the gem it is. We loved it so much we’ve already booked to come back in a couple of weeks with our family. I could keep going on and on, but you’ll just have to check it out for yourself when you come :). You won’t regret it!

The sites are spacious with a beautiful fire ring area at each site. The views across the Chester River are amazing while you relax on their deck in a comfortable Adirondack chair. Plenty of stuff for the kids to do including an awesome playground, big pool and a pavilion with activities. Definitely put this place on your list of places to check out. Highly recommend. We will be back!

What a difference a year can make! Lots of new improvements. A split rail fence along the road, fewer speed bumps, 2 dog parks, a new pavilion, upgraded playground, a new dock under construction, clean environment, and friendly management. Yeah!! All good things!! Thanks!

Glad to be back to my happy place. The place looks beautiful. A lot of work has been done and it shows very nice.

This is a full time/part time campground, but they are separate. The staff was friendly, the campground was so very quiet and peaceful. We loved watching the stunning sunsets off of the dock. Our only negative were the 7 or 8 speed bumps for a .3 mile section of road, made the exit a 4 minute exit. Ha! But this is a good stop!
