We stayed at a primitive camp site for Labor Day weekend. The camping is clean and well maintained. The beach area is gorgeous! Restrooms and bathrooms also, maybe some extra showers would be welcome as there're only 2. The staff was super friendly. On the Saturday they offered donuts instead coffee for everyone, and a pig roast for dinner, it was a great surprise! I definitely recommend this Dumont Lake Family campground.

Campground staff were nice and helpful, the campground was nice, but the sites were small. My family and I were harassed by one of the seasonal campers about how we were taking care of our dogs. We set up a fence for them that ended up very much being in the sun and we were harassed when the dogs were in it, even if only in it for 20-30 minutes at a time. We were told they were going to call the police, recording our campsite where our dogs and my children were playing. Yelling at us and continuing to walk on our site like they were going to do something with our dogs…. It was hot but we had it handled. Overall, don’t come here unless you want their seasonal campers in your business. We come to relax, not be hassled and yelled at. I wouldn’t have left this review if these people weren’t seasonal campers but honestly because of that, we do not plan to return.

Had an issue with Electric called the office and they answered and I told them what was going on and within 45 minutes had an Electrician at my site. He looked over everthing and tested the Campgrounds Electric and it was good and then he tested my Surger Protector all was good there and then he plugged me in and it made a liar out of me. Not sure what the issue was but it was address immediately. 2025 is going to be a great Season. Campground looks amazing and I love the new patio in the back.

Pros: Great location! I loved listening to all the songbirds and bull frogs and watching the geese and goslings. We met several camping neighbors, and they were all very friendly and helpful. Kayak rentals are offered for a great rate ($10 each for 4 hours). Very nice and spotless restrooms! We look forward to camping here again in the future. Cons: poorly managed. The office was closed several times when they were advertised as open. The website indicates the RVs included WiFi, but they don't have WiFi. Inspectors came during our stay, and the septic inspection failed, so all the RVs that were hooked up had to be immediately disconnected. The water connection for the rental RV next to us was spraying water the entire 10 days we were there, and the problem was reported on day 2 (the handle was shut off). They don't have a spare key for the rental, and I accidentally locked myself out. Thankfully, the key was on the table, and I was able to slide open the window and reach in to grab it. We ordered firewood, and it was never delivered. Thankfully we weren't charged. We just went down to the corner store to buy some. Given all these things, I would still camp here in the future due to all the pros. Hopefully, the owners will get the other issues handled soon.

Beautiful little campground. Very friendly and accommodating. We stayed in the rustic camp area and had a great time. Caught a few fish in the ponds on the property, including a bass ! We will definitely be coming back here again!

This is a great campground especially for families that like it a bit more quiet. The playground is loads of fun for all ages. The fishing ponds are very large and full of life and will definately lead to hours of fun catching frogs, fish and turtles. The lakefront beach is beautiful and clean, and a great place to park your boat or launch your kayaks and have a day out on the great Dumont Lake. And did I mention the whole park is dog friendly?! If your pups love the water this place is perfect! And the campsites are probably some of the best I have ever stayed at. The sites are very spacious, well kept and perfectly shaded. Will be back, this place is a gem and gets 11/10 from our family!
