Dune lake is very quiet, shady, has picnic tables. Water and 2 electric outlets were available for our tent camping site. Bathrooms leave much to be desired. Small playground, small lake. Near a sand dune preserve. This is not a hotel, so can't answer those questions. It's a small campground, no on-site management. You can order firewood, and it is very quiet. Most of the sites are shady, and dirt with a bit of grass.

I have been staying at this campground for a few years now, multiple weeks. Unfortunately, the lack of empathy of the owners has caused me and my fiance never to return. We booked the site for a total of 3 weeks this summer. One 2 week period and another 1 week period. My fiance ended up in the hospital for an emergency procedure our 3rd week at this campground and I only stayed 2 nights of the entire booked week without him. Due to the procedure and recovery time his parents came into town to assist us with his time in the hospital. My fiance and I were discussing that it would be best for him to go with his parents to help with his recovery. His family went to Dune Lake Campground to help him pack up his things while I was at work. During this time the male owner stopped by and told them that they had to pay $10 for a visitor fee. My fiance explained to the owner that they were just helping him pack up because he just got out of the hospital. The owner didn't care and insisted that they pay the $10. When I heard about how my fiance and his family were treated I called the campground. The other female owner told us that regardless of the situation they have to follow policy. Policy? They're the owners of the campground, they make the policy and they get to decide when there is needed room for empathy. They decided the $10 was more important. We have spent many weeks there every summer but will never return and will let our friends and family know not to go back as well. We hope the $10 was worth upholding your policy and losing loyal customers.

For all intents and purposes this would be a fairly pleasant campground. However, when it comes to the available public restrooms, if you're a larger person, or have other physical limitations that make moving around difficult, then I can't recommend camping here. There are no handicap accessible stalls, no ramps, and the regular stalls and the shower stalls are very, very, cramped. Everything else was perfectly fine though. I'd recommend it fine for your average family. The park itself is beautiful, well kept, and the staff are friendly. One last note, If you camp in the cabins, I would suggest bringing additional padding of some sort for the beds. The mattresses are probably fine for most, but could be considered a bit stiff / thin for others.

We really enjoyed staying here. Kids loved walking the Dunes and playing the mini golf. Bathrooms were clean, hot showers and good water pressure. Only complaint was at the primitive campsites there were many stumps that could be tripped on. Very friendly staff and easy check in/check out process. It was a great little two day get away.

My family and I had so much fun here! The kids absolutely LOVED swimming in the crystal clear lake. The water was surprisingly much warmer than I expected. The entire campground was immaculately clean and well cared for. The bathrooms & showers were unbelievably clean!! The owner was EXTREMELY friendly, helpful! We cannot wait to come back to this little slice of heaven.

Nice quiet campground with clean facilities. Very quick to bring fire wood when requested. Would make sure you have extra long water hose as some of the water hook-ups are a good distance from the parking spot. Overall great experience would go back again.

Very nice, safe, small campground. Not overcrowded. Quiet neighbors. We liked mini golf, dunes, small lake. Clean bathrooms but showers could be updated. Easy check in and check out. Love the gate. Close to Michigan lake but a little too close to the highway.

Happy with our stay and will definitely come back again in the near future. However, the shower drainage system could use some improvement. Overall, very satisfied with this campground. Love that it is small, has lots of trees, has a cute mini lake for swimming, also just 5min away from Lake Michigan, and most of all..the place is quiet. A nice place to relax and get away from the hustle bustle of big city living.

We loved this campground! It was close to a bunch of beaches along lake Michigan and downtown areas, but it also had its own small lake that the kids swam in and had a paddle boat that they enjoyed! It was very well taken care of and bathrooms were clean. The owners were so nice and friendly! We will definitely be back!
