The park features 50 spacious sites, each equipped with full hookups including water, sewer, and 50-amp electricity. Each site offers a paved pad, fire ring, and picnic table for a comfortable outdoor living space. Guests have access to well-maintained facilities such as modern restrooms with hot showers and flush toilets, a playground for children, and a nearby boat launch that facilitates easy entry into the reservoir for a day on the water.
Nearby Attractions & Things to Do
Water recreation is the primary draw here, with the reservoir known for its world-class kokanee and smallmouth bass fishing. Just a short drive away, the Dworshak Dam and Visitor Center provides fascinating insights into the engineering of one of the highest straight-axis concrete dams in the Western Hemisphere. Hiking trails wind through the surrounding timber, offering opportunities for wildlife viewing and photography in the lush Idaho backcountry.
Who This Park Is Best For
Dent Acres is an ideal match for boating enthusiasts and anglers who want quick access to deep waters. We are avid RV travelers and have spent many nights across this country at various parks and resorts. This place is amazing!! Its of the water a bit, but you can drive to the boat ramp to launch your water vessels in minutes. The lake kinda requires a boat of sorts to enjoy it.

This is a great campground. It's very clean and quiet. Each spot has a fire pit and covered picnic table. However, our fireplace was very close to our trailer, we had to bring the awning all the way in and you could feel the heat on the side of the trailer . The views are stunning. Great boating and fishing. Swimming is doable, there is a nice little cove to swim in, however the water level was pretty low so the stairs stopped about 7 feet from the water. We came down from the North and it's a stunning drive. However, it's STEEP going up the mountain and very STEEP going back down the other side. I cannot stress enough how steep it was. Going home we decided to go back via Elk and it was a much easier drive. There is a small section of road that is gravel but not much. This is a great campground to stay at if you are staying there and not driving back and forth to Orofino or to visit other areas.

The road in is windy and wonderous. The sites are small but most are pull through. Excellent showers. Very reasonably priced. There is a boat launch at the campsite! I stopped in on a road trip for one night. It was about 30 minutes off my route but worthwhile.

We always have a great time on our annual Cast n Blast trip. Nice place to stay. Friendly people. The bathrooms could use a thorough cleaning and a face-lift. They fixed and paved all the roads recently, which is nice.

Views are beautiful! Nice clean campground and bathrooms. Great boat ramp with parking. Most spots are pull-thru.

The campground itself was ok with spacious sites, but the asphalt on the roads and the sites was horrible. All sites are pull throughs that are not level. The road to get there is a trip with lots of curves and steep inclines. The lake is beautiful and we enjoyed paddling our kayaks there. We had very limited Verizon service. Our cellphone booster didn't help.

Small, very small spaces. Not much room to enjoy camping even in the tent spaces. The water though clean and cold does not fully shut off and caused damage to my RV which is of course on me to fix. The volunteers now the grass even if you are in a spot with no care for if you want to listen to a weed eater for 45 minutes or not. A week after the rain stopped the fire ring is still flooded as is the spot I was assigned. I doubt I will stay here again without being forced to...

We stayed at this campground while hunting 2021. Our stay was a very good experience. Restrooms were clean, showers were a wonderful amenity to have available. Most of the campsites were closed for winterization so the number of campers was limited. Very quiet and a genuinely nice volunteer host. Directv worked and decent cell service with AT&T. Will return again for sure!

Beautiful Location very remote. Army Corps of Engineers campground as usual very well thought out using natural materials, beautiful location. This campground is small but has full hookups 30/50 amps, water, sewer. Wild apple trees and wildlife all around and fishing. Nice hiking trails beautiful views of the water. Very nice double launch ramp, fish cleaning station, restrooms. Camping $20 a night everything else free WOW! The road getting there has steep grades and tight turns I made it with a 36ft 5th wheel take it slow it's worth it. Sorry no internet but cell phones do work.
