This was a great weekend, my family will definitely be returning to the cabins. They were in great condition. I wish i had gotten more pictures because when i was booking i couldnt find any for reference. Very clean, cozy, and adorable. it had a grill, fire pit, swings, and everything you might forget to bring on a trip; like hand/dish soap, or utensils.

Employees know nothing! Can't tell you what spots are open or reserved, and make you go hunt for a spot! All while pulling your 40 ft RV! Can't even tell you which areas have 50 amp! Train your staff!!! Camp grounds are weed infested, with dead tree limbs laying everywhere. I mean brown dried up and obviously there for quite a while. Grass needed mowing, and dumpsters overflowing. Never saw a campground host at all while there. Honestly don't think well visit again.

Great place for camping, swimming, hiking, fishing, or just hanging out with family and friends. Plenty of tent and rv/camper spots with picnic tables, fire rings, electric, and water hook ups.

Enjoy coming to El Dorado lake so handy when traveling South. Check in is not easy. The self check in should be in each campground . Could be made easier.

Like the lake and surroundings. People in the office are friendly but some of the rules here for camping are outrageous though. As well as the prices.

Who is in charge of stocking and cleaning the bathrooms? Big oak bathrooms are very dirty, ran out of toilet paper by 8pm on a Saturday and the men's is over 100 degrees. The women's is so wet that there is water running down the walls. Bugs line the stalls and are piled on top of the urinals which are constantly wet from the moisture of the leaking toilets. There were coins in the urinals which stopped up the drain which lead to men not flushing. The makeshift PVC showerheads that leak more than produce a stream to shower leave much to the imagination. I overheard a young child crying to his mother that he did not want to go into the bathroom because it was yucky. Paying customers should be able to expect a clean, well maintained facility. Especially in today's Covid climate. If the restrooms do not meet my expectations at a fast food restaurant, there's a number to call. Should that be the state park manager? Please know that the camp hosts are very nice, however their dogs bark incessantly.. I do not expect a thorough cleaning of a public restroom from them unless this is the expectation of the job. If this is the case then there is zero oversight to ensure expectations are met. I also do not expect building maintenance for the camp host to manage. Again however, if they're in charge of pressure washing the outside of the building to get rid of the bugs, dirt and mold on the outside of the building then there is zero oversight occurring to ensure this is done. There should be oversight that occurs that ensures cleanliness any day of the week.. We were there Thursday through Sunday and not once were the bathrooms closed for a daily cleaning. Very disappointing considering these are the bathrooms open year round.

I love El Dorado. We camp there every month during the spring summer and fall. There are designated swimming beaches or there is access to the lake close to your campsite. We fish and swim wherever we want to. The campgrounds are children friendly. They can play games or ride their biked.
