El Paso Storage Units is in a convenient location, Julie the location manager is a great conversationalist and a likable person. However, when I reported to her in writing and verbally that the power in one of my units went out nothing was done. I had a generator that was on a float charger and it needed to be on in order to maintain the generator's battery but when I informed Julie about this situation she was reluctant to report this to upper management because according to her these units are not supposed to have power and if management found out they did then they would turn off power to all units. I found that very hard to believe since all units have a light bulb and an outlet besides I had night access and it was very hard to access my belongings in total darkness. Eventually the battery in my generator died for lack of charging and it ended up costing me $140 to replace it. As I stated before the location is convenient but the door seals are starting to age and door gaps allow lots of dust to enter and permeate your belongings. A simple call to maintenance to check on the electrical would have been appreciated, it doesn't take a lot to keep a loyal customer but neglect sure does a lot to lose one. P.S No generator was used in the storage unit as the management incorrectly stated. The fact that no electric power was available to turn on the light bulb that was already installed and provided by the storage unit is inexcusable. They charged extra fee to have anytime access and invariably users of this facility will access it at night therefore the lack of something so basic as light inside a storage unit and the refusal to address this issue is a gross lack a care for its users.
