I rented a storage unit after hours through the Extra Space Storage call center. I was relieved they could complete this process over the phone but was disappointed they only had large units available. However, when I went to the storage facility the next day I was assisted by 2 awesome ladies at the location on 10800 Central, Chicago Ridge, IL. They ensured I got the correct size storage unit as well as get my name and address corrected in the system. They gave me all the information I needed. They were so patient and professional. Excellent customer service is hard to come by these days but these ladies went above and beyond. Thank you again for making this a great experience for me and my family. V. J. Green

Wow!!! what an experience!!! as a business owner business for the past 11 years I have dealt with many situations which caused me to obtain and deal with many different storage unit facilities. I would NOT rent a storage unit at this location. (Chicago Ridge) I went to pick some things up from my unit after having been away for about 5 months and to my surprise EVERYTHING was covered in rust residue… so much so that there were large pieces of rust on the floor in my unit. Everything I owned in the unit was covered in a rust dust. I called to complain and ask about resolve and was told they could compensate me with $80. I have no complaints about the customer service I received, however the women helping me really had no resolve for the issue. They offered to help me clean my things but there was going to be no resolve for the ongoing issue. (The roof of the building was continuing to rust due to a leak repair they stated) This issue I was told was not something which was covered by insurance for those who may have insured their belongings. I was also told this was not the first complaint they have had regarding the issue, however I was never even made aware that there was an ongoing issue in the area where my unit was located. I have decided to relocate my belongings and ended up finding a larger unit for more than $60 cheaper monthly with another company. Again, no issues with customer service, but hardly any resolve that could come from their end. Overall terribly unhappy with this facility and the fact that my belongings were not kept appropriately in my absence despite no issues with my monthly payments.

Crystal and Carla was just absolutely amazing. In fact so helpful I ended up renting 2 units instead of 1! The facility was extra clean and eased my mind over pest management. If they had more large units I would absolutely rent even more. My mind is at ease of my storage solution.
