Easy access, helpful staff, well, once management replaced the stoner with a more conscientious person. Also, they cut off the lock on the unit for me when I had forgotten my key for my last emptying of the unit!! Very helpful. A good experience during a stressful time

While our family was very happy with the small "storage unit" and the facility (5-star), we find the bait-n-switch business practice of an "initial rental discount" rate with a nearly 70% rate increase on the 5th month to be extremely disreputable. New customers should also know that the first month is almost double the rental rate to cover "administrative fees", a "lock", insurance (you can opt out of insurance) and other fees. Read your month-to-month contract closely (rates can go up at any time with 30 days notice). Your rate is not locked in for any period of time. We moved out before the new rate started. The unit was worth it to us at the rate we were paying, it was not worth it at the "suggested rental rate" (i.e. the new rate in the 5th month). I would not recommend this company to anyone. They count on customers to "move-in" and get comfortable, and then jack up the rates -- counting on them to just take it and keep paying higher and higher rates. We do not plan to use Extra Space again, despite the quality of the facility and convenient location. While their business practices may not be illegal in Massachusetts, they are certainly unethical and deceptive in our personal opinion.

Staff was very helpful walking me through all elevator access how to work elevators and how to work garage door. Felt Safe when I was there alone moving in and out. Great Location. Clean facility Clean Bathroom. Reasonable Storage Space and Pricing. Easy Monthly Payments. Easy First Day Renting Unit. Fast and Easy closing Unit. Best Storage Facility in the 15 years and 9 moves we have made. Definitely would Recommend this place!

Saturday in July. After a series of small disasters, I was finally on my way to Mass. with a U-Haul full of items and a reservation at a storage facility in North Waltham. When I arrived, the poor service, nasty-looking storage unit, and difficult access made it clear that I was facing yet another disaster, so my daughter and I started locating and calling other area facilities because I was not staying there... and then came Diana! She was friendly, helpful, patient, welcoming, and accommodating. Disaster averted! All searching stopped, and we headed to Extra Space Storage on Bear Hill Road. When we arrived we entered a spotlessly clean office where we were greeted by Diana and her co-workers Eric and Larry. My entire day turned around. They helped me select the right size unit, which was easily accessible, and offered me items for purchase NOT as an upsell but to solve some of my problems. (And all were very reasonably-priced. No price gouging here!) It was so easy and pleasant. We were actually laughing together... and they even found a special for me, which lowered the price. I was thrilled and delighted and feel certain that this is the nicest group of people running any storage facility in all of Boston.
