Finger Lakes Campground

Overview

Finger Lakes Campground offers a serene escape set across 50 acres of lush, wooded landscape in the heart of upstate New York. This destination provides a peaceful camping experience that emphasizes a deep connection with the outdoors. Unlike bustling roadside stops, this park invites travelers to slow down and enjoy the quiet beauty of the rolling hills. Whether you are staying in a big rig or a tent, the park serves as a welcoming home base for exploring the renowned Finger Lakes region while maintaining a relaxed, nature-centric atmosphere.

Location & Surroundings

Situated in Prattsburgh, NY, the park is nestled in the scenic countryside of Steuben County. It is conveniently located just a short drive from the southern tip of Keuka Lake and the charming village of Hammondsport. The surrounding area is characterized by vast farm fields, dense forests, and the steep slopes typical of the glaciated lake region. Travelers will appreciate the scenic rural drives that lead to the campground, offering a genuine sense of seclusion while remaining accessible to local town amenities.

Amenities & Park Features

The park is well-equipped for modern RVers, offering full hookup sites with both 30 and 50-amp electrical service. Guests can enjoy an array of outdoor activities without leaving the property, including over five miles of hiking trails that wind through the private woods. The property also features a spring-fed, catch-and-release fishing pond and a refreshing swimming pool for the warmer summer months. Additional conveniences include a modern, clean bathhouse, a camp store for essentials, and a spacious pavilion for community gatherings.

Nearby Attractions & Things to Do

Winery tours are a primary draw for visitors, as the park is situated minutes away from the famous Keuka Lake Wine Trail. You can sample world-class Rieslings at the historic Dr. Konstantin Frank Winery or enjoy the stunning hillside views from Heron Hill. For history buffs, the Glenn H. Curtiss Museum in Hammondsport showcases local aviation and motorcycling history. Nature lovers can also take a day trip to Watkins Glen State Park to witness its iconic waterfalls, located less than an hour away.

Who This Park Is Best For

This campground is an ideal match for nature-loving families and couples seeking a quiet retreat rather than a high-traffic resort atmosphere. It is particularly well-suited for hikers and pet owners who will make frequent use of the extensive on-site trail system. Because of its proximity to local vineyards and breweries, it is also a top choice for wine enthusiasts looking for a comfortable, quiet place to park their rig while exploring the best flavors of the western Finger Lakes.

Upon our arrival, the campground was neat and clean. At the office, the person at the check in desk was very friendly and welcoming. Our site was spacious and was a full hookup site. The pool was extremely clean and had newer furniture on the deck area. We didn't spend a great deal if time there during the day, however when we were there it was quiet and peaceful. The surrounding view was spectacular, showcasing the hilly region . I would highly recommend it if you are looking for a great to stay when in the finger lakes region

My husband and I stayed here for a Thursday to a Sunday and we had a wonderful time. It's a laid-back place, not too big, not too small, tucked in the beautiful hills close to Hammondsport and Bully Hill Winery. There was a torrential downpour one of the nights we were there, and everything was bone dry in the am, no flooding on our site anywhere. For quiet, laid-back and relaxing... we really liked this place and will definitely be adding it to our list to return! The pool was a nice bonus on the super hot days that hit about 90°. Very refreshing. Thank you FLC for accommodating us!

Very clean well ran camp. Don't speed over 5mph, u will hear about it. Everyone was friendly, lots of daily activities, pool, trails. I just wish it was closer to the marina at keuka for our boat access. Golf cart is recommended. Lots of hills, not alot of shade.

We didn’t arrive to the campground until after dark. Luckily, we were able to select the exact camp site, when we made the reservation and payment on line. When I write after dark; dark is the key word. The road around the park is a winding road with forested areas all around. They could use some low level lighting to make navigation easier. There are blind corners, everywhere. The campsite we picked was an isolated spot and the bathroom/Shower building was right beside our campsite. My biggest complaint was that the shower room did not include a sink, mirror or toilet. The bathrooms were on the opposite side of the building, so We had to take care of personal needs then go around the building to take a shower. The showers were clean enough, however, they had no type of shelf or anything to set your Shampoo and such. As you have probably noticed, my review probably read as knit picky. That is because the rest of our experience was good. The campsite was nice and shady. There are all kinds of ATV paths cut through all the forested areas. It was very reasonable, the primitive camping site we picked cost $15, a day! Overall it was a pleasant experience.

Great hideaway in the Finger Lakes! Secluded enough to still be considered camping but close enough to many area places! Great little community of seasonal campers, too! There is a wonderful bar/restaurant a mile or two away and many wineries/breweries a short drive further.

Nice campground which helpful permanent campers next door. Site 92 needs elevated so sewer runs properly and graded on left side.Thank you. 🏕🚴🍷

The first thing the owner should do is add 'the hidden gem of the finger lakes' to the campground logo. We enjoyed a 2 night stay, and all I could say was, 'Wow!' everywhere I looked. To begin, we bring with us a 43' Montana so sites are not always easy to find. After booking this camp ground we were unsure of what to expect, after pulling in and driving through 35 acres of well manicured grass and ponds. I felt this was a great camping oasis. Being a fully remote worker, and the husband of a teacher. We enjoy traveling to different camp grounds all over the country. This one is spectacular, do not hesitate to book. Everything is extremely well kept, very clean, everyone is extremely friendly. Extremely friendly is important as we have a 3 year old daughter who loves saying hi and talking to everyone! Oh, they do not have cell phone service, but they have great wifi that covers the entire campground! And to the negative reviews on this camp ground, sorry that it rained and you got wet.. welcome to camping!

All in all, a nice campground. We did experience some flooding from the pond, due to heavy continuous rain, that caused us to relocate temporarily. Not all sites have sewer hookups, which necessitates a trip to the dump station. There is a small laundry area, which operates on the honor system. Ice and firewood are available, and a Saturday farmers market at the pavilion. We would stay here again, but next time we would request one of the sites with a sewer hookup, just for convenience.

This is a very nice quiet campground. Staff is very friendly. Nice pool it's kept very clean. Kids enjoyed the game room. Id give it 5 stars if it actually had a camp store. You can get ice and wood but that's it. If you got there and needed anything you have to find a store, which we needed to do. That part was a bummer. They also don't sell worms for fishing but they have a lake to fish in.

Our family just spent the week at the Finger Lakes Campground. We truly enjoyed the campground and the staff. We found the staff to be extremely friendly and helpful. The grounds were very clean and well maintained. And the campground is perfectly located for day trips to other sights. We found the campground to be a very quiet and relaxing. My wife and our 6 kids enjoyed our trip. Thank you!
