Foothills West RV Resort

Overview

Foothills West RV Resort offers a peaceful desert retreat located just south of the city of Casa Grande. Known for its scenic mountain views and quiet atmosphere, this park serves as a comfortable home base for travelers exploring central Arizona. Whether you are looking for a short-term stopover or a seasonal stay, the park provides a well-maintained environment where the desert landscape meets modern convenience. The resort focuses on providing a relaxed community vibe for guests who appreciate open spaces and stunning sunsets.

Location & Surroundings

The resort is situated in a rural pocket of Pinal County, away from the noise of the city center but close enough for easy access to essentials. It is conveniently located near the junction of Interstate 10 and Interstate 8, making it an ideal waypoint for those traveling between Phoenix, Tucson, or toward San Diego. The surrounding landscape is defined by the Sawtooth Mountains, offering guests a genuine Southwestern experience surrounded by saguaros and native desert flora under wide-open Arizona skies.

Guests can expect a range of practical and recreational facilities designed for long-term comfort. The park features spacious pull-thru sites that accommodate larger rigs with full hookups. Common areas include a clubhouse, which serves as the heart of the social community, and a heated swimming pool perfect for the sunny Arizona climate. For those who enjoy staying active, the resort offers pickleball and shuffleboard courts, while pet owners will appreciate the dedicated fenced dog park where furry companions can stretch their legs.

Nearby Attractions & Things to Do

There is plenty to explore within a short drive of the resort. History enthusiasts often visit the Casa Grande Ruins National Monument, while outdoor lovers can hike the various trails at Casa Grande Mountain Park. For shopping and dining, the Promenade at Casa Grande is a popular local destination. Additionally, golfers will find several high-quality courses in the area, and the nearby Skydive Arizona center in Eloy offers a bit of adrenaline for those seeking a unique desert adventure.

Who This Park Is Best For

This park is an excellent choice for winter visitors and snowbirds looking for a sunny, quiet escape from colder climates. Its location makes it perfect for travelers who prefer a more rural, natural setting over a dense urban RV park. Because of the big-rig friendly layouts and community-focused atmosphere, it is ideal for retired couples or solo travelers who want a mix of social activities and peaceful desert solitude while remaining within reach of major travel corridors.

Not a bad park unless you are a member of 1000 trails, then they put you by the nasty dumpsters in a large dirt section so you eat dust anytime you are outside when people continually dumping there trash.

This was our second time staying here. Everything is clean. The community is quiet and friendly. I loved the updated shower room. Check in was easy and office staff super friendly. Thank you!

If you would take a large Rv Resort and shrink it down in size, you would find it in this park. It has all the amenities needed with the feel of small town America, where the people still smile and wave, and have a kind word to say when you pass.

Staff and all full timers were super friendly and helpful. We stayed in a large class A motorhome. I will definitely stay here again.

We had a great time at this park, it's a very clean, quiet and peaceful park! We stayed in the pull thru site right by the laundry facilities, which was very convenient. Everyone was very friendly, the pool was out of order, but the hot tub was working. It's location is north of the city, which offered peace and quiet. We will definitely return!

We travel in a fifth wheel Rv and are staying here now. Check in was a breeze. Parking my rig was easy, wide streets. The club house is nice and pool and hot tub are very nice. It's a small park and the people seem to be very friendly. There was a park wide yard sale and there were some great deals. I loved this park. Depending on your preference, it's a little far from things so it so it's either good or not so good.

We initially stayed at Foothills West with a seven day reservation (on our way to somewhere else in state) that turned into a month during recovery time after an ATV accident our first day after arrival with riders we just met from the park. Not their fault in any way, just a quirky thing that tipped us over and resulted in an injury. I mention this only because it illustrates how welcoming residents were to strangers who just came in. Within a couple of hours of arriving, we'd already had interactions with immediate neighbors and one, seeing our ATV with us, told us about the ride the next morning and made introductions. Some residents even checked on me daily during recovery. Then our stay extended again to a few months, and we returned this following year for several months. We are not Thousand Trails members, and we experienced nothing but great hospitality. If you are open to making new friends, smile and say hi, go to the club house for one of the many activities, say "hi, we're new", and without doubt you will be welcomed. Sites are spacious and neat, rules are enforced for the good of all in this relatively small park nested in a neighborhood close to everything you could need. I don't use the pool or restrooms, but know many that do and they are clean and well kept.

This is a well tended and attractive park, but my wife and I expected better amenities, especially considering the cost. The biggest disappointment is that there is no WiFi service, even though the online information suggests there is. Also, no cable TV service is provided. This resort needs to get into the 21st century. The resorts in Yuma offer much better experiences for lower prices.

Great staff led by Manager Vivian make this a welcoming place. We came for 2 nights and stayed a week. Despite being very full, Vivian managed to get us the extra days, even staying in the same space. The facilities are among the best we've seen anywhere and this is our third trip across the U.S. in the winter. We almost never see a heated pool and hot tub! And the weather is so good here in Casa Grande that we used them every day. Holidays here are special events with everyday perks like water aerobics and a very well set up common room. There are pool tables, TVs, books, puzzles and movies. We had one of the 4 pull through sites and they are all paved and flat with picnic tables. It is about 3 miles off Route 10 and very quiet. Most of the park is seasonal and we can certainly see why. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. We'd spend the winter here too!

Some residents work on things inside there dwelling 24 hours a day. Been going on two months. No one cares. It's loud. Annoying. They are Canadians and never wave. Strange .
