Fort Tuthill County Campground
Escape the desert heat and head into the cool Ponderosa pines at Fort Tuthill County Campground. Located just outside Flagstaff, this park is a hub for high-altitude recreation that feels miles away from the city while keeping you close to the action. It's the perfect base camp for travelers who want to fill their days with adrenaline and their nights with fresh mountain air.
You'll find a variety of spots to set up camp under the towering trees, ranging from RV sites with water and sewer hookups to rustic tent areas. The layout offers plenty of shade and space, making it easy to relax after a long day of exploring Northern Arizona.
The park itself is packed with things to do. You can challenge yourself on the obstacles at the Flagstaff Extreme Adventure Course, shred the features at the bike park, or catch a live show at the Pepsi Amphitheater. Whether you want to hike the Soldier's Trail or test your aim at the archery range, there is always something to keep you moving.
However, visitors should be aware that the park hosts events on weekends and occasional weekdays, which may lead to increased activity and noise levels.

My spot was very small for my rig n truck. Too many trees. I hit my truck mirror on a tree trying to park my truck in this tight spot and had a $1700 repair bill. I will not ever stay at this rv park again. No power hook ups in 2025 is ridiculous. If you can run water and sewer run electricity. TIP : Clear a few more trees. Add a bath house with a toilet. Port o lets were functional but horrible. I will not return.
