We have stayed here for almost 2 months and have been very pleased with our stay. This campground is quiet and kind. The manager Mark is the best. The owner is on the property often doing maintenance and yard work. The lots are spacious and well maintained with beautiful bushes and trees. We’ve never had an issue with power or water. The best part is having Herrin city park in walking distance.

Service location and accommodations all below par. Restrooms disgusting, staff infection waiting to happen. Insect and rodent infested. Roaches and mice populate the majority of the campground. Awful service and clientele. Great place if you want to leave with fleas and roaches.

We made reservations 6 weeks in advance because we were going to be there for a week over Memorial Day to visit my son. My husband called the night before to confirm we would have a pull-through. All was ok so they said. When we arrived, we were told there had been a mix up and they were going to put another RV there so that person could be next to his brother. So we would have to go to the end of the park to a back-in spot. We have a RV towing a car. We had to unhitch the car and the owner’s husband backed our RV in. They were both very nice, so we thought, ok, things happen. We were in amongst trees so absolutely no sunshine. I looked at the bathrooms and they were filthy. Roaches in the women’s shower. Could not get internet at all. They never answer their voicemails so no sense in leaving that. Didn’t get an overview of the park when we checked in. She said she would email it. That never happened. I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT AT ALL!!!

Stayed for about two months there. Water pressure was great. Robin, the campground manager, is above and beyond. Very well kept campground, quiet, and is in a great location with a nice paved walking trail nearby. Highly recommend if your staying for a day, or even long term. Will definitely be back!

Owners and hosts are very friendly and nice. Peaceful place to stay. Deer, geese, turkey and other wildlife walk around, loved seeing them. They even have a pond to fish in (catch and release). Loved having a dog park on the property. There is also a huge park across the street. Price is very reasonable. Loved it there.

Would stay again passing through the area. PROS: +Full hookups, no problems with electric. +Amenities: laundromat ($1.50), propane, showerhouse (kept locked?) +Ambience: gravel lots but well maintained, pond and farm-style structures. -Mature tree shade and full sun spots available. -Friendly, good communication. -Park easy to navigate. CONS: -Price nightly. A bit high (over $40) for area but it's a nice little town and neighborhood. -Path to the park is through neighborhoods in either direction. Nothing can be done about that but be forewarned to drive carefully slow.
