What a wonderful campsite. It was my family first time staying at this campground and it was also our first time camping too. Service was wonderful, I felt so terrible for calling the front desk every late at night and early in the morning. Arrived at the campground at 8pm, was setting up the tent and everything then finally realized we had to purchase fire woods, so I tried to call the front desk, hoping someone will be awake still, just literally 2 minutes later a man showed up to get us our woods. The policies did said not to fire or have lights on after 10, however i felt like they was over accomodate, letting us have our fire on until like almost 12am, we was still out side of our tent grilling and chatting but of course we did respect the policy by whispering and trying our best to do everything in a very quiet paste. Bathroom was extremely clean, surprisingly. I didnt felt scare or anything going to the bathroom in the middle of the night either. It was a great experience and definitely will recommend this campground to families and friends and we will return again!

This campground is absolutely wonderful. Its clean, quiet and the campsites are spacious. While we stayed in our camper, the tent sites were probably the best tent sites out of any campground we have stayed. Made us miss our tent camping days. The local towns are quaint and the Franconia Market is absolutely perfect. If you are looking to hike, enjoy nature and all the Franconia Notch has to offer this is a perfect place to stay.

Absolutely Beautiful Campground. The Grounds were well maintained, the Site we were on was Very Large & Directly on the water. Listening to the running water was just the break we needed to get away. The Staff was great, very accommodating & a pleasure to deal with. As always, other Campers around us were great to be around. I would highly recommend this Campground

Franstead Family Campground is a great campground. The office was closed on the day we arrived. All our check-in info was on the front door. Taking a walk around the campground, the tent section that runs along the river is just magical, sites nestled in a canopy of trees. We were in a fifth wheel, full hook up, site T5 and while it was a lovely site; we had one issue. The hook ups for this site are to the very back of the site instead of the side, so if you boom the site you need to know you need to bring an extra large portion of sewer drain with you. When we left, we pulled into the empty site next to us to drain our sewer. Even with that one issue, I still give this campground two thumbs up and the surrounding area of the White Mountains, and all that it has to offer and to do—also two thumbs up. This is a campground I would not hesitate to revisit.

Fransted Campground is a camper-friendly spot with thoughtful rules that help everyone enjoy their stay. The activities are simple and great for families — there's a river to enjoy, a game field, mini golf, ping pong, and hiking trails. Everything was clean, including the bathhouse and beach area. The staff was super friendly and answered my questions about the area. Campsites vary — wooded, river view, safari-style, and seasonal — so there's something for everyone. It's also conveniently located near local attractions. The only drawback at Site 4 was some faint road noise and headlights from cars entering the gate shining into the site. A small fence may fix that. Overall, a great experience — I’d definitely camp at Fransted again!

Couple of hiccups but worked out ok. Great campground, clean, spacious. Beautiful location. Restrooms clean. Would stay again, definitely. The sites by the river are really nice.

This campsite was nice and in the perfect location for hiking. We stayed here for 3 nights. Everyone was friendly and the check in process was very easy. The showers were dirty but the restroom was fine. Firewood is very overpriced, consider buying before you arrive on site. The rv sites in the woods are very tight. Make sure you know how to back in a trailer if you stay in those sites. Playground was fine but outdated. The mini golf is not a thing at all. The trees overhanging the road could be trimmed back a little bit. They should move the dumpster location to the exit so you do not have to turn around or go through the entire campsite again to leave. Other than that we would stay again, especially for the price.

We love our annual camping trips at Fransted. We always book a two-night stay at a premium tent site, and find we have plenty of space (we have a large 8-person tent and could fit another large tent if needed) and plenty privacy for our family of four people plus a dog. The campground is quiet, beautiful, and you can hike the short campground hiking trail along the river, which connects to lovely network of other trails through the woods. Great for exploring! Plus, the campground is a short drive from the mountains for even longer hikes. Plus a 10-min drive to Littleton where you can buy necessities or enjoy the beautiful town. Other guests have been polite, quiet, and friendly. As some have mentioned, there is distant noise from the highway late at night, but nothing that kept us awake.

We had a wonderful time at Fransted Campground. It was mid-week in September and there were very few people there, it was nice and quiet! We had a riverside tent site #27 which was perfect. The bathrooms were the cleanest campground bathrooms I have ever seen. There's a short hiking trail which we took out to the river and had a picnic. It was lovely. The people that we met in the office were very kind and efficient. There are lots of rules, but that's how we like it. Although this didn't bother us, you should know that there is traffic noise from the nearby highway, day and night, especially big trucks. This may be a problem for some people.

This is a wonderful campground! We had a Premium Tent site right on the river. It was wonderful to go to sleep and wake up to the sound of babbling water. Sites are reasonably big and very well maintained. Laundry on site was a plus after a wet hike. The bathrooms were cleaned regularly and perfectly fine. Staff was so friendly, and the store is well-stocked for wood, ice, and ice cream as well as other basics. I'm looking forward to returning!
