Sadly lacking maintenance, too many rules, not dog friendly. Price is ok. Good location. We're gravel pit campers, expected a little better for a paid site.

Not good for RVs. No water or sewers at the sites. No dog park and the hostess said that dogs had to be walked on the street, not in the park. Laundry room was a mess and the coin-operated showers were, well, disgusting. Maintenance of the park was even worse. There were even electric lines lying on the ground with both ends buried. I’ve never given a park a single star, but this one earned it! I’ve never given a single a single

We used the laundromat here and it was rough. Most the machines are broken. It only takes quarters and the change machine was broken the 3 times we went in. Not a lot of great laundry options in skagway but your gambling with this one.

This park was ok at best. I was surprised at how empty it was in mid August, but as it’s electric only that might be part of the reason. It is a reasonable distance to walk into town, so you don’t really need your vehicle. Bathrooms were clean, coin op showers a bit less so. Sizable laundry room but over half the machines were inoperative. Dump station and potable water.

Didn’t stay here, but utilized their dump station and water fill up ($10 for unregistered guests). Thanks for offering this service to those who don’t care to stay in RV parks. Spaces look nice, electric; laundry available. Easy in and out.

It is not as bad as some other reviews make it out to be :-) Sure, the spots are not very private and the grass was indeed a bit long (at least someone very slowly mowing while we were there), but the bathrooms were clean and the laundry facility was fine as well. This won't satisfy those who expect their campgrounds to be super nice, but it was just good for the four days that we spent in Skagway. The fact that it is a bit of a walk to the downtown area was nice as well; it is on the non-touristy side of town and the walk helped us burn some of the calories from all the good food we ate while there :-)

Shameful that a municipality could own such a wreck! I believe once the RV Park was a gem, but now all you get is 30 amp power no water no sewer. Yes there is a dump and freshwater available for your fill up but for 60+ dollars a night, the city should be ashamed of itself. Grass uncut, flower boxes empty. Electrical boxes hanging on by a screw. Still trying to make money by charging for showers and only two of seven dryers and four of ten washers working doesn’t support the entire community who seems to use the laundromat. Office staff did their best was friendly, but the floor is peeling off and there’s just garbage a random copier. That’s not working. It seems like the city is just using it as a storage facility. The word is, they may turn it into a subdivision. Not too forward thinking putting all your eggs in one basket i.e., the cruise ship industry instead of diversifying and reaching out to RVers. Good luck Skagway with your current government lineup. I enjoyed my stay. The people were friendly in town and it was clean.

If you like wet toilets, this is your place! They “clean” their bathrooms by dousing everything with water twice a day. It looks like they never pull up the floor mats to clean under them. Very inconvenient having to dry the toilet each time before use.

I'd rate it okay if it was much cheaper. More then 50$ for electric only and a token showers is way to much, even for Alaska. Either offer more for the money or lower the rates significantly. Right now price vs. value is no good.

Disappointing, not as advertised, need of Up keep, repair & cleanliness. I was here in 2017, the park was well kept, I rated it 4+ out of 5. Only reason I rated it 2 this time was it was open & location. It advertised water & sewer of which was broken & no knowledge of when it will be available. This is early June with a whole bunch of summer RVers headed to mainland Alaska on their way & this is only 1 of 2 parks in town with no dry camping for big rigs anywhere. What a shame the owners allowed this park to look like a run down homeless park. I heard the ownership transferred to the city, shame on them, they must only care about cruise traffic. I will not be back. However I must say, my wife reminds me, they did refund 1 day back from a 3 day reservation.
