Gettysburg Farm RV Campground

This is a camping area. We requested a pull thru site with w/e/s only to be put on a site with no sewer hook up, all the while, there were at least 12 empty spots with w/e/s the entire time we were there that were left unoccupied, yet every time we asked to be moved we were told they were at full occupancy. This forced us to use their community bathrooms and showers which smelled extremely like sewer and one of the ladies shower 🚿 heads was not operational after getting completely undressed to shower. We were put on a spot which had an adjacent open ditch. After sitting out at our fire pit in the near darkness my 71 y/o husband tripped on a ground divot and fell into the ditch. The camping area has potential but its run down. With a little bit of work it could be fine but the area they placed us was downright dangerous.

This was our first visit to Gettysburg Farms. We went because we have a service dog in training and we wanted her to see all the animals. The camping area was great. Plenty of room. There was some nice walking spaces. The pool looked good, but was closed for the season. We were told that it had been redone. Because it was late September, some of the activities were not happening. We stayed 4 days and enjoyed it- one of the nicer Thousand Trails parks. We loved visiting the animals and it was great for our SDiT to experience them. The only thing that made me sad was the pigs, peacocks, rabbits and turkeys only had a small space in which to live. They had PLENTY of space for the animals to have a larger area. The farm was well kept. The horse had a nice large area to exercise.

I am so sad I only got to stay here for one night! It was absolutely adorable! Really well kept, bathrooms were nice, friendly guests & staff - Jerry specifically was very helpful & cool - and the animals! So amazing! My dog & I were so happy & comfortable here. I can’t wait to spend a little time here when I pass through again!

Amazing pool- very nice. Variety of sites. We stayed down by the river and our site was easy to get into. Some of the sites are on grass. Kids loved the animals. Staff very nice. All amenities were up and running.

This campground is part of Thousand Trails. We have a one year free trial with our camper purchase. The campground is large and spacious. Our site was by the river. 30amp water/electric. They have sites with sewer is the "nicer" part of the grounds. They have a dumping station. They have tent sites available as well. The site we were at was 633, its extremely slanted and is a parallel site, so leveling is tricky. Many of the sites near us were muddy and rutted out. When we arrived they assigned us this spot, for some reason I thought I had read that we would get to pick our spot. The bath house near us was closed for "remodeling". Honestly it didn't look like it had been touched in a decade. There was a bath house operational in the center near the dumping station, but was a far walk for us. They have a pool, basketball court, horse shoes, shuffle board and putt putt. The putt putt needed work but was operational. They have a banquet hall theh play bingo in and have an arcade that is small. They have a general store that is small but has some camper equipment for sale. The farm honestly is the best part. You can pet the animals and buy food in the store. The pool looked nice and had a worker maintaining it in the mornings. There are alot of permanent sites here. The river is nice for fishing if you can find a good clearing off the bank. This place is very quiet despite all the kids. This place needs some work but im not gonna complain about free. I believe it's about 80 bucks a night if you pay for it. Overall would stay here again!

I've stayed here in the past and before this most recent trip, have not been here since 2013. This place has really changed in the last 8 years. The campground is being taken over by seasonal renters leaving minimal open sites. Stay far away from the seasonal sites as the occupants think they own the place and are very disrespectful. We were there with 7 families (7 total children) from our church on 7 sites and were very quiet and respectful but it didn't matter. Because we were not seasonal renters we were treated like trash. One of the seasonal tenants who also happens to work in the campground store cornered some of our children and yelled at them for doing nothing wrong. She then confronted us and yelled at us for doing nothing wrong. I am a 2 time cancer survivor and, my wife and I are hard working, college educated, individuals raising our 5 children and enjoy weekends away camping with our friends. People such as us are stereotyped as the scum of the earth at this campground because we are not seasonal. We are not wanted and not welcomed. If you do have to come here pick a site away from the seasonal sites if you can. Best bet is to go somewhere else.

We have stayed here twice and so far this is THE BEST Thousand Trails park we have stayed at. The staff are all friendly and helpful and are right on top of things that need to be taken care of. It is a actual working farm and although we did not have any kids along, it is very kid friendly. Our puppy Lola enjoyed exploring.

Perfect location to all the attraction. The farm is well taken care off and the animal were so friendly. Roger and the rest of the crew were amazing. Limited sites for full hookup and also be aware of the weather as the site near the river tend to flood. Will come again
