Very nice campground. We stayed here in late fall a week before they closed. It wasn't to busy. We enjoyed our stay very much! Nice area to walk!!

This one was hard to review. It certainly had character. Many people seem to live there full time - a festive tree decorated with Christmas ornaments in the tent or rustic area added some... charm. The campsites are packed together and it was totally full when I was there. Reservation is recommended but if you're lucky you can drive in and get the very last available campsite ( that was what I did ) .. $15 for a basic campsite with a picnic table and fire pit - electric sites are available as well. Showers were amazing. Hot normal private showers. The beach is not much but it's within walking distance of a gorgeous park and the historic houses in the area are beautiful. The lady working the front desk was friendly too. Campsites come with access to showers and water for less than the rustic campsites in the National Forest that have no water and only pit toilets. Bravo for keeping the price reasonable. One of the cheapest in the entire area. Photos are mostly of the area ... the campsite is a packed in jumble of every rv type you can think of .. and tents.

We had a good time here. We weren't at the campground much as we were out exploring and at the fair. Don't leave your awning out, it may blow away.

Stayed for a week in a 36ft 5th wheel. Plenty of room between campsites. Campers were friendly. Enjoyed the area, within an hours drive to many cities and interesting things to do. Campground is right on the lake. Would recommend this place

Just saying this, that I have tried for 2 years now to reserve 5 sites for my siblings and me to camp on the 3ed week end in July. I even went in last fall and was told that I had to wait tell after the being of the new year. So I did that and was told that I could get 5 sites but they would not be together. what good would that do if this is a family camping weekend? So hats off to you in not getting our business and I don't think that we well be there anytime soon. what a run around. Tell me wait and then tell me no can't help you. this was only 4 days ago and my daughter was with me when I was there and she heard the same as me. Have a great day.

Not much of a beach there, boardwalk was destroyed, too many rules as to even how you park your camper on your site. Power poles, water hookups, and firepits weren't in the right spots to use the site efficiently.

This campground was great for a quick weekend while we visited friends. A few things to note- the camp sites don't have a ton of trees, so not much cover. It's super windy by the bay, so bring sweaters! Lastly, it's right next to the city/state road commission, so it smelled STRONGLY of asphalt the entire time. That being said, the kids enjoyed the water, the bathrooms were immaculate, and we'd stay again for a quick weekend getaway.

The restrooms are clean; the site is very nice with both shaded and sunny spots. There are some sites near the bay, at this time those sites are water & electric only ... These are mostly unshaded; we are hoping that one day the city will finish up running the sewer lines in the "lake " sites! One section which is heavily shaded plus the tent sites do not off any hookups. 😞 Good people run and take care of the campgrounds. We have been camping there for decades!
