Very nice scenery, neighbors were very friendly, roads weren’t too bad , trails were well maintained and the bar was a hidden gem overall would recommend.

One of the nicest and we'll maintained RVparks and Resorts around the area. Great price for what you get.large Swimming pool, tennis court,Scatted playsets and a fishing pond, and smooth greens for some golfing. The owner is always on premise and is knowledgeable and hands-on. in addition for the youngins, there is a game room,off-road paths for exploration. The.outpost is centrally located next to the game room and pavillion that hosts Karaoke .This year live performances were started, but it's still a work in progress. It's safe and gated . At no time over the last year have I felt unsafe . As campgrounds go. I recommend Glenwood without hesitation for all ages .

Family and I had a great time! Our RV site and tent site were perfect and the staff was very helpful. There were some very fun activities for the kiddos with a great DJ night to close it out.Thank you so much for a great experience!

Warning this place is definitely not a resort or a rv park. It is a long term rv park. Run down dump. The even on one side of us had the neighbors from hell living there. The woman was yelling and cussing her dogs, her daughter and some guy that came for visits. Her dogs she kept tied up behind our camper. Pooping everywhere. Got loose a few times. Ended up jumping in my lap once. Music blasting from somewhere all night. Sites were horrible and in disrepair to say the least. The worst thing was the water. It stunk terribly. Undrinkable. Hated to even shower or wash dishes. The camper started smelling bad because of the water. We were afraid to even check out the bathhouse. The other ever on our other side was not being lived in. Windows busted out. Just a sad dump. The property and land could be beautiful if they would take care of the place.

This was a great location for where we needed-close to family. It was okay for short stay. It was an April visit and weather is always up for grabs in Illinois this time of year. We had tons of mud with the rain and our two dogs brought all of it in the trailer. Not their fault. The concrete bridge road, however, which we were told upon entrance in a terrible rain storm, was the only way in, needs a serious repair and safety rails. A section that looks like it received minor repair at some time caused the demise of a car. I hope they consider fixing properly. We did learn there was a better route in at a back fence which probably would have avoided any bridge issues.

As you first pull in, you sit in front of an old abandoned guard shack waiting for someone to come escort you in. They advertise full service hookups, pretty sure those are all taken by the permanent campers there. Found this campground via Good Sams, asked when I got there if I get the discount. I was told yeah and never got it. Water smells like sulfur in the showers, there are no fire pits, you have to build your own. Their map online is very outdated as well as their website. There is no swimming pond with a beach like the map shows. When you find the pond you can see what remains of the beach after it was stopped being for. There is no baby/ kiddie pool as the website shows, it’s been filled in with concrete. Bathrooms could use a little more attention, men’s was dirty and had 1 working light. It seems like it was once a great campground that they stopped caring for as much. Site also advertises WiFi, never could find it, there were no hay rack rides as the website advertises in the summer. You have 1 person working the entire park and trying to run the store there.

Our friends have a place there. Great time, nice and quiet. Great get away from City Life, maybe interested in buying something a permanent spot.

You start by waiting about 20 minutes at gate till someone comes get you. I was suppose to get full hook up and only got water and electric. The water had an horrible sulfur smell to it. The grass was very tall and we were told it was going to be cut the next day. It never happened while we were there. The roads were very rough and needed to be smoothed out. There was no pad or picnic table at site. We were just pointed at a service in a field and drive in how ever you like. The showers were out of service while we were there, and someone was working on them. The campground is very large and has a lot of potential. Just needs a owner that is willing to invest and get all the junk out of there.
