Glenwood Springs West / Colorado River KOA Holiday

MORE THAN A BEAUTIFUL COLORADO RV PARK AND CAMPGROUND…A TRUE COLORADO CAMPING ADVENTURE!

We welcome you to our new Colorado KOA campground, located on the Colorado River at I-70 Exit 97, 17 miles west of Glenwood Springs and adjacent to the “old west” town of Silt.  Glenwood Springs West/Colorado River KOA is the convenient stopping point on your way east or west, whether you are looking for a comfortable one-night stay or a multi-day adventure basecamp.

We offer RV sites, deluxe and camping cabins, teepees and tent sites. This is a place so beautiful that you won't want to leave, and you'll find so many nearby attractions and activities that you'll want to make time for them all. You will enjoy spectacular views of the beautiful Roan Plateau, the Mamm Peaks and Battlement Mesa and over 2,800 feet of frontage along the majestic Colorado River, where you can stroll along the banks and watch for bald eagles, cast a line for trout or enjoy a tubing experience.

Glenwood Springs West/Colorado River KOA makes a great basecamp for exploring western Colorado. Scenic drives on excellent roads will take you east to Glenwood Springs — and its famous hot springs – and beyond to the world-famous ski/resort towns of Aspen and Vail; or west to Rifle and its mountain parks, the wineries and orchards in Palisade and the majestic Colorado National Monument near Grand Junction. Click on “LOCAL AREA” for details.

The Glenwood Springs West/Colorado River KOA was created from scratch, starting in 2015. Everything is new and “purpose-built” for your enjoyment. You will register at our Welcome Center, with its convenience store, lounge, games, TV, library, laundry, showers and changing rooms. Outside the Welcome Center you will find our large, heated pool, sun patio, hot tub and playground. Other amenities include a second, brand new “family-style” bathhouse and laundry, a huge dog park, a boat launch, riverfront picnic area, enhanced trails and a dump station.

There are spacious pull-through sites and economical back-in sites, providing something for everyone. All sites have fire pits, picnic tables and grass hangout areas. Each RV space has water, sewer, electric (most are 50 amp) and cable TV with 50+ channels. A strong Wi-Fi signal is available. AND, we are getting bigger and better. New for 2018 were 36 deluxe patio sites, 14 of which are right on the Colorado River — bringing us to a total of over 100 RV sites — and new cabin and tent sites – all beautifully landscaped.

Along our Little River you can enjoy four deluxe cabins with kitchens and bathrooms and four camping cabins. We also offer a cluster of three spacious teepees and tent sites. Most importantly, we have a great desire to make your stay enjoyable. Our staff are campers who know what it takes to make other campers happy. They will make you feel appreciated and welcome.

Going across country for business. Price was $53 for 1 night and worth it. Even the overnight spots have water, electric and sewer. I was able to change out my fresh water and empty my other tanks at my camp site without having to go to the dump station they have on site. Great staff and clean campground. I would stop here again if im ever passing through the area

Generally, very nice and clean. The staff are friendly and helpful. The only reasons it doesn't get 5 stars from me are: 1. WiFi was barely usable during the times I could get my devices to connect to it. 2. The men's bathroom is too dark. Hard to explain the situation but more lights need to be added. While taking a shower, I could barely see anything in the shower stall. 3. This is not really a complaint and not unexpected, but there was a good bit of noise from the interstate and the large'ish gas station right in front of the campground.

They are accommodating. The facilities are very clean. They have a swimming pool, splash pad and river access. I was disappointed that they didn't have specific kids activities like some of the other KOA locations but had a good stay none the less. I would have preferred to be on the river side rather than next to the noisy highway. The location is perfectly situation between Glenwood and Rifle.

Stayed in our 42 foot-long five slide camper. Easy pull in great pull through accommodations. Have a beautiful river that you can get multiple different sites located on. Staff is very friendly. Their little store is well stocked with the essentials in non-essentials , activities that you could check out and use for free , a well maintain swimming pool n hot tub Plus, the staff are super kind, very knowledgeable and willing to help. I honestly cannot wait till we come back to Return

Really nice place to park your RV! We stayed a week and enjoyed the campground vibes. Sites are well-kept and there are many right by the Colorado River! Nice pool, hot tub, and cute water zone for kiddos! We rode our bikes the nearly 6 miles one-way down the frontage road. Fairly close to Glenwood Springs and not so bad a trek to Aspen. Take advantage of their nice gift shop and the membership option is more than fair.

OMG...we had been driving all day and were really trying to get to Moab, but bad storms and mountain fog made got us behind. We arrived after close at Glenwood Koa and self check in was fast and easy. We set up our site, took showers in the cleanest showers west of the rockies. Sleep came easy. The site was full but quiet. We awoke to a campsite on the river flanked by snow capped mountains, what a view. We hiked with our pup along the river and then checked out and continued west. Pup friendly, clean, quiet and beautiful...we will be staying again.

This is a great place, clean, friendly with great service. It is close to the highway, so you get some noise. The WiFi is poor and cell coverage is weak. The WiFi needs to be upgraded.

This park is really turning into a great place to be. We stay here on a yearly basis. If you've stayed previously and didn't have a great experience, I encourage you to come back. The river sites are the best, but there really isn't a terrible site in the park. The pull-through sites accommodate large rigs with tows. Great accommodations for pets. The pool is clean and well-appointed. If the hot tub is important, call ahead to make sure it's operating. The staff is helpful and all the ammenities are clean. Be sure to plan a trip over to The Miner's Claim in the free shuttle (tips accepted)

A mixed bag This KOA offers a delightful mix of amenities and atmosphere. The sites, pool, and grounds are well-maintained, and the staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. The rates are reasonable, and the riverside strolls are particularly enjoyable. However, your experience can vary depending on your site location within the campground. As a KOA Journey, it benefits from convenient highway access. While the highway noise is minimal, the gas station at the entrance is loud. For a quieter stay, I recommend booking a premium site towards the back of the campground. Avoid sites near the entrance, like site 19, if you prefer more tranquility. Overall, this KOA is great for a night or two, but for an extended vacation, you might want to explore other options.

Great place to make your base camp right on the Colorado River for all your activities. Beautiful, clean campground, well maintained dog park and pool. Long level sites for our 35' Class A pulling an Acadia. Good fueling station with limited groceries close by. Contact Blue Sky Adventures for reservations for rafting. We had a great experience with them. Try the Miners Claim restaurant in Silt for a superb meal and cocktail! Fun week so far! Doing Hanging Lake tomorrow!
