Nice place to camp , hot showers included. No hookups as far as I can tell but a well maintained campground.

Campsite was nice but there was another group of 10-15 reckless teenagers next to our camping site. They got drunk and partied all night until 6am with loud music on. At 2.30am I couldn’t stay in my tent anymore and asked them to sleep but they were just disrespectful and didn’t care. We had a terrible night with 3 other families and 5 kids. In the morning we told the park ranger what happened and he just listened and literally did nothing. Terrible management. And sad to see how selfish some teenagers are. Too sad.

Good campsite. The sites were a good size with a nice view of the lake. If you are booking a site double check because ours was not flat so there was limited space to set up tents if you have multiple. Bathrooms were clean and there were many available around the sites as well as showers. We were there Fourth of July weekend and didn’t have any issues with lines. If you want to swim in the lake you have to drive to the day use area. The designated swim beach was closed but there was no signage or information online about swim areas. However the day use had access to the lake and it was fun to swim. There were picnic benches available as well.

Beautiful campground. The sites are private and most have a view of the lake. It was quiet with multiple clean bathrooms some of which have free showers. We visited mid week in late April so I’m sure it was less busy then in the summer.

Camped on Big Oak side in site 102 towards the end of June. Tent site: very dry and dusty. No level area for a tent unfortunately. Found a spot that wasn't too bad by the tree though. Howere, the sun was beating down on our tent by 7am. It was getting to hot to sleep in. Didn't get shade over the tent until 2-3pm. Picnic table: The picnic table got shade a little earlier but definitely recommended bringing a canopy to place over it. It's level and cemented into the ground so it can't be moved. Bathroom: short minute walk to bathroom. Lighted. One power outlet. 2 sinks with hazy mirrors 1 toilet stall. 1 shower stall with a dry changing area. Hot water is available. Coin operated, quarters only. Trash bin: less than a 30 second walk. Didn't smell at the camp site. Access to the lake: depends on the lake level. When I went, the lake was pretty full. I believe it measured at like 1060ft. The walk down was like 45 degree, lots of high dried grass and weeds. You basically make a trail for yourself or hope there is already one. The descent is about 5 mins. There isn't any nice flat spot for sitting or setting up a chair. It's doable though. Not muddy and a little rocky. Water quality: ok for swimming. Close to shore is definitely more dirty because you can definitely disturb the debris on the shore line. If you swim about 10ft out, it's much cooler and cleaner. No shallow area around. 5ft from shore is about 5ft deep. Life jacket recommended. Parking: Fits my 2005 Tundra double cab and boat plus trailer fine. I would say total length of the space is about 40ft. Narrow for the trailer though. There is some shade for the car up until like 9am and after 2pm. Proximity to other camp sites: kinda close and open so you can definitely see your neighbors and vice versa. Distance wise is probably 40ft-50ft only. Park rangers: they drove around a lot but didn't enforce quiet hours or parking rules. Note: this campsite is close to the boat houses so you may hear music all night. Don't know if there are quiet rules for the lake.

Summer is usually pretty hot but just enough trees for shade and the water is incredibly comfortable. Plenty of fishing going on here even though I go here with my boys to swim in the summertime and bike ride in the summertime spring and fall. I hear the fishing is pretty good. Campgrounds are nice and clean and so are the restroom and shower facilities. Always a different boat launch opening or closing due to water levels rising or falling. Mostly falling due to the drought but snow melt run off has started to get it to come back up again. Lots of wildlife. Okay enough about the people. Lol. Actually a much more quiet crowd than some other lakes that are known for their off the hook partying. This isn't one of them it's much more toned down and respectable. We Have seen plenty of deer raccoons foxes coyotes gopher snakes king snakes garter snakes racer snakes and rattlesnakes of course. Leave the rattlesnakes alone and they'll usually leave you alone and look for a way out to stay away from you. If you come in September and October in the late afternoon and evenings you might get lucky enough to see male tarantulas looking for females. Unless provoked the males are very docile and they'll usually just walk right over your hand as if you're not even there. They've got other things on their minds .It's cool to see bald eagles and ospreys in the skies as well

This is probably a wonderful place, when we've had rain. The water levels are low, so the mud smells. Not much shade ,cause water is so far down. I sure if it ever rains again it will be nice. We will definitely go back, but not until we get some water
