It's a quiet campground. There are restaurants, a small grocery store and gas station close by. The pool is always clean and well maintained. Basketball hoops, best for tennis/ badminton and pickleball. Excellent views. WiFi has become better for reception.

Came Oct, 2025 We were on the road for a month and a half. Need to do laundry. They have NO Laundry room. They proceeded to hand me a card with the nearest Laundromat 27 minutes away in another town. Told me they were on a well water so they couldn't. But they had a pool guess she thought that didn't take water. Also there is very little shade to no shade in the campground area. What they have is clean and neatly kept. Give it a 4 out of 10

The staff was very helpful and nice. We stayed one night, 3 adults and a toddler. Big lawns, well kept, very quiet. The pool seems nice although we didnt go in. We especially liked the restrooms and showers. They were clean, new, spacious and equiped. A good experience.

Great, clean and peaceful. The pool was awesome too! But the staff were exceptionally helpful and down to earth. I will be back!

Bad experience, I do not recommend it. The manager came to our space at every moment, we felt like we were in a prison with many rules. He charged us 90 dollars extra because a group of people we know put up an extra tent and they did not want to pay him. He charged it to our group just because we knew those people. It is illogical because each person has to take responsibility for their actions, but the manager only wanted his 90 dollars, it did not matter who paid them. Very disappointed. I went twice but I will not return again.

This place is situated in a quiet community. It's beautifully manicured, well looked after and not too big. All sites have a grassy area. The pool area has plenty of lounge chairs. The washrooms are super nice with a few historical pieces. Hosts are very friendly and helpful. The office sells a few amenities, ice and fire wood, and ice cream 😃, as well, has a common area upstairs if needed. I recommend this campground and hope to return on another vacation in the future.

We stayed on site W1 for a week. Full hookup, tons of room at this site. It's an open site, so no real shade if that's what you are looking for. Site was pretty level and easy pull thru. It's extremely quiet here during the week. The weekends get a bit busier, but it was quiet by 9-10 every night. They have a nice pool, well maintained. There is not a lot to do here for kids, just an FYI if you are looking for that. The campground is small, but beautiful. Open fields, and did I mention quiet! The camp store doesn't really have much, but the campground is very close to a lot of stores. Most within 10 minutes. We found the staff to be very friendly. It is also very dog friendly here too. We would definitely come back!

All though the scenery was very beautiful. Our cottage had no a.c my family had complained for 2 days with the extreme heat . we had 2 small children. we were moved the day before we were going to leave. One of the staff members had to my fiance that they didn't know about the problems and they weren't sure what to do ,after we all had complained how unbearable it was . The beds are so uncomfortable I'm sure jail mattresses would feel better.I just wish we had better service because some of the staff is actually nice and would've been a better stay had we'd been accommodated the first 6 times we had complained in one day . Wouldn't recommend it.

Grandview campground presentation is very nice ,prices are reasonable, sites extremely small for bumper pull campers , they say they are a family campground but they are not , the manager Vince is on a power trip and is running the general operations of the campground similar to a dictatorship, what there is of a playground its not kid friendly, can't put down camping rugs but can set up tents on the grass , you have to buy their bundles of wood at 7 plus bucks a bundle and is extremely dry so you go threw the bundle in a hour . The reason you can't bring your wood is because they are afraid of getting bugs in their campground that are evasive from other states but I was from conneticut. The claim to have wooded sites but all their sites are the same as camping in a field at a state park with hardly any trees . The manager was mowing at 7 a.m which is rude . They have rules to follow but there ,but what there was of kids they where running around way after 11 p.m of noise time . The camp store was barely stocked. They claim to cater to family and friends yea if it's their friends and they where letting these friends and families use their firewood off these friends own vehicles. So if I can give 10 negative stars I would . Going here was a waste of a great holiday weekend. And if you bring your dog(s) they want you to bring the dogs medical records which is not a good business practice. Every other campgrounds we've been too all the wanted to see was our little monster man rabies tag not his whole medical history. So we will never go back here even if they are the only place in conneticut

We stayed there with our camping group (Charter Oak Camping Club) opening weekend in April 2024. Our group consisted of 14 families. The sites we spacious and the views were great. Valarie, Alica and Vince were great to work with throughout the process of making our reservations and while there. From checking in to when we left, they were very accommodating and went well above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Highly recommend this campground when in the area.
