Convenient location and friendly service! Safe and relaxing place to stop for the night. The two ladies that checked us in were charming and full of useful information. Very clean facilities. 10/10 Would definitely stay here again!

Very cute, older KOA, hostess very helpful and friendly. It's just located in a more industrial area down near the Mississippi ports. But very well kept, clean, and quaint. Not easy to get to with lots of construction going on.

Best place in the area for families/kids. Wouldn’t stay any where else! My husband and I stay in our 5th wheel as we travel for work. This RV park is well kept, grass is maintained and showers/restrooms are clean. No rating for rooms because we are in our RV. Price in line with every other park in the area. This place offers lots of space, shade, playground for kids, and a pool. This park has met our needs nicely.

We’ve stayed at 6 KOA locations in the past 6 months, and up until now we’ve had nothing but great experiences. Unfortunately, the St. Louis N.E. / I-270 / Granite City KOA Journey was a huge disappointment, and we will not be returning. Our cabin had cobwebs 🕸️ and felt run-down, almost like it hadn’t been properly cared for in a long time. The grounds were poorly maintained—gravel, grass, and overall upkeep were lacking. The staff at the front desk were unfriendly and unwelcoming, which only made things worse. The pool was the worst part: green, dirty, and warm 🤢—definitely not the refreshing break you expect on a hot day. If you’re considering this location, I recommend skipping it altogether. Instead, try the KOA at 18475 Old US Hwy 66 in Eureka, MO (right by Six Flags St. Louis). We’ve stayed there three times and always had a fantastic experience. Sadly, this Granite City site just doesn’t measure up.

Spotted a couple just outside the entrance gate on our way in. The woman was on her knees, I assume she must have been tying the guys shoe. Very nice of her. By the way, this campground is smack center in the middle of an industrial park surrounded by beautiful chemical tankers and industrial equipment instead of nature. Truly a refreshing change of scenery from your typical campground. A train seems to run thru the town around 7am with a very loud horn which is a nice wake up call. 3 stars, would definitely go out of my way to stay again.

We stayed here April 23rd & 24th and it was a wonderful place to stay! We rented a 23 foot RV for our trip and wanted to know about the area to travel with it. The woman at the front desk was a former dispatcher for the police and is very knowledgeable about the area and advised not going in certain places with the RV. She guided us in a great direction to see the sites in the area and we had a great time here! Very clean and well kept.

Extremely rude and disrespectful staff!!! Didn’t even get to the place before we got to experience how incredibly rude the staff is. My family and I are booking a camping trip through a couple states but due to some changes in work scheduling we had to change the dates of our stay. We reached out to adjust our dates of stay, and hadn’t heard back for a week or so and so we decided to reach out again so we could make sure everything was handled. Our emails were so professional and nice with the best intentions, absolutely not being rude or having a bad attitude. At first, a gentleman responded to our email being very kind and helpful and easily switched our dates and site. However, a few days later we got ANOTHER email from Amanda being unnecessarily rude and claiming we were giving her attitude and acting as if she was at our “beck and call.” Ummm what? It’s a campground and you’re the owner, is it not your responsibility to handle things in a timely manner for your guests? We waited over a week to even send a follow up email. Then she says she “didn’t want our money” and we need to “learn to act right.” Yeah ok lady, how about YOU learn to act right? We literally had nothing but a kind and respectful attitude just to be met with bitterness and hate. SMH rude people and after reading the reviews I can see we aren’t the only ones to have this experience with Amanda and the rude staff of this campground.

Reading through the reviews, the good and the bad, we booked here expecting a worse experience but we were pleasantly surprised. It didn’t feel as if you were tucked in the woods next to several trucking companies. With the maple and oak trees, it felt way out in the woods. The washrooms were acceptable, not exceptional, not awful. The only thing was the freaking noise from the speedway a couple of miles away. That was pretty brutal at night!

By far the worst KOA we’ve ever stayed at! Checking in was fine, efficient not friendly. Site was level. Dog park was a total mess. Dog waste deposal was over flowing, fence down between the two sides. No lighting at night. Shady area behind our site with broken fence. Dumpster looked and smelt as to not been emptied in weeks! No WiFi and they didn’t say that until a text you receive when it’s too late to cancel! AVOID THIS PLACE

We needed a place to stop for a night. This KOA is a dated facility. Our 50 amp plug was even cracked. The trees need trimmed, and the gravel needs dressed or added to in many areas. The tree branches brushed and touched our 5th wheel on our site. If you have a big rig, be careful. The staff was friendly and helpful and the only reason my review wasn't lower.
