Gridley Inn & RV Park

Overview

Gridley Inn & RV Park offers a practical and clean environment for travelers moving through the Sacramento Valley. This facility is a unique hybrid, combining a traditional motel with a dedicated, well-maintained RV section. It serves as a reliable base for visitors exploring Butte County, providing a high level of professionalism and consistent maintenance that is often sought by long-term travelers and overnight guests alike. The atmosphere is calm and focused on providing a comfortable, safe landing spot for those exploring Northern California.

Location & Surroundings

Situated in the heart of Northern California’s rich agricultural region, the park is conveniently located just off Highway 99 in the city of Gridley. This makes it an ideal landing spot for those traveling between Sacramento and Chico. The surrounding area is defined by vast orchards and fertile farm fields, offering a quiet, rural atmosphere while remaining within walking distance or a short drive to the essential shopping and dining services found within the local community.

Amenities & Park Features

The park provides essential features designed for modern comfort and ease of use. The property is well-regarded for its paved interior roads and spacious, level pads, which simplify the setup process for larger rigs. Key amenities include:

  • Full hookup sites with 30 and 50-amp electrical service.
  • Reliable on-site laundry facilities for long-term guests.
  • High-speed Wi-Fi access throughout the RV section.
  • Pet-friendly accommodations for travelers with companions.

These features ensure that every guest has the necessary tools for a productive and relaxing stay, whether they are visiting for a single night or an extended period.

Nearby Attractions & Things to Do

Nature enthusiasts and outdoor adventurers will appreciate the close proximity to the Grey Lodge Wildlife Area, which is a premier destination for birdwatching and photography. For those who enjoy aquatic recreation, the nearby Feather River and Lake Oroville offer excellent fishing and boating opportunities. Visitors can also explore the unique Sutter Buttes, often called the world's smallest mountain range, or enjoy the local culture at the nearby Butte County Fairgrounds during seasonal events.

Who This Park Is Best For

This park is an excellent choice for contract workers or travelers looking for a well-managed, secure stopover during a long journey. It appeals specifically to those who value cleanliness and utility over resort-style luxuries. Because of its easy highway access and its position near major nature preserves, it is particularly suited for wildlife enthusiasts, seasonal visitors, and RVers navigating the major north-south transit corridors of rural California.

The rooms are not clean and they smell. There were stains on the floor, dirt and hair in the bathroom. The hotel needs and update. Gridley needs a quality hotel. Unfortunately, The Gridley Inn is not one.

We've been here for 1 1/2 year and enjoy the quiet, laid back atmosphere and the peace of MIND that comes with it. The location is central to Yuba City, Oroville & Chico with plenty of things to do and see. Gridley is a great place to live exuding small town friendliness and charm.

We stayed there Dec 21 thru 25,,, from the moment we arrived the office person was very nice an approachable thats always a good thing. We stayed in one of the cottages, they are very ample had lots of room for our possessions as we were there for geese hunting, the staff cleaned our room daily, there are plenty of restaurants and markets within walking distance, we will definitely stay here again

Rooms are not up to date or modern in anyway but they are clean and comfortable. The beds are very soft, sheets are clean, the complementary snack and water was a nice touch and when I was staying here for a month on and off the staff even made sure I didn't loose any personal / valuable belongings. (I was switching rooms a lot and left a necklace behind, housekeeping was the one who notified me I'd left it behind! So bonus points for honest and kind!) The only real downside here is how expensive the rooms are for literally being close to nothing of great importance and the RV park itself is a bit trashy, some RV spots seem very cluttered or run down and some of its residents are not really pleasant so keep that in mind for extended RV visits.

I would give this place 0 stars. My husband travels for work so sometimes our options are limited in proximity of his job. DO NOT stay if you're a single woman or have children. There are a few creepy people in the park. One old man is constantly waiting for me to come out of the trailer and trying to talk to me. One lady literally flashed herself to a couple younger children. There are some trailers that look like a homeless camp...it's also $500 a week. A $65 pet fee for the rv park. I have never been charged for pets at any other park. The dog area has trash everywhere and smells like stale beer. The pool is on the nicer side of things however is still dirty. They do offer laundry amenities but no quarters available on site, you have to leave to find quarters. There's also about 7 or more feral cats around the park. All in all I will never stay at this park again. I do not feel safe here.

They have really come through for my mom and I after we were graciously left here, by my mom's ex's mother- and the management team are beyond exceptional and friendly and very helpful. The owner is a very well grounded woman, who is full of much grace and very helpful as well. We are beyond grateful for their help as we continue to stay here meanwhile we await before we make our next move. And the pool and Spa are well kept and it's really helpful being able to relax and get rid of all stress while in the pool or spa. I highly recommend this place to all
