Haas Lake Park RV Campground

Overview

Haas Lake Park RV Campground is a long-standing, family-owned destination that has served the Michigan RV community since 1971. Located in the heart of New Hudson, this park is defined by its four spring-fed lakes, offering a picturesque backdrop for travelers seeking a mix of recreation and relaxation. The atmosphere is grounded and welcoming, providing a genuine sense of place that reflects the natural beauty and seasonal charm of Southeast Michigan.

Location & Surroundings

Situated in Oakland County, the park sits in a prime location within Lyon Township. It offers a peaceful retreat away from the bustle of city life while remaining conveniently close to major transit corridors. The surrounding area is characterized by the rolling hills and dense woodlands typical of the region, making the transition from the road to the campsite feel like a true escape into nature without sacrificing accessibility to local services.

Amenities & Park Features

The park is well-equipped to handle various rig sizes, offering full hookup sites with both 30 and 50-amp service to accommodate modern motorhomes and trailers. Water enthusiasts will appreciate the sandy swimming beaches and dedicated fishing spots distributed across the different lakes. On-site facilities include a well-stocked general store for essentials, a laundry facility, and a spacious clubhouse that serves as a hub for community interaction and relaxing afternoons.

Nearby Attractions & Things to Do

Outdoor enthusiasts are perfectly positioned to explore the expansive Kensington Metropark, which is just a short drive away and offers extensive hiking, biking, and boating opportunities. For those interested in shopping or urban exploration, the park provides easy access to the suburbs of Detroit and the university culture of Ann Arbor. The nearby Island Lake State Recreation Area also provides additional opportunities for birdwatching and peaceful trail exploration along the Huron River.

Who This Park Is Best For

This park is an ideal fit for family vacationers who want their children to experience traditional lakeside fun like swimming, paddling, and fishing in a safe environment. It also serves as an excellent basecamp for travelers visiting relatives in the Detroit metro area who prefer a scenic, quiet setting over a standard commercial lot. If you value a well-maintained, community-focused environment with a touch of nostalgia, Haas Lake Park delivers a classic Michigan camping experience.

Love this campground. Pretty lake area with fun family activities. Close to home, but still feels like a mini vacation.

So, as I arrived to my site there was dog poop and goose poop all over the site. Allen came by on a cart I stopped him gave him the bag of poop. He said he would take care and do something for me . Never did. They also said the 3 hole course was cut. I went over there to play was over ankle high . This was the second time this happened Definitely not a resort. It was better when family owned. They charge you $15 a day for resort Fees just to pay more people to drive around. Doing nothing.

Since new ownership by the conglomerate, the cost to stay here is almost double. The services provided have not improved aside from putting up new signs and increasing the speed limit. For a 1 week stay on a full hook up site, it is close to $900.00. We used to enjoy this place as the cost was fair and owners were very friendly. I do not recommend this location. Other parks similar are Timber Ridge or Timber Line up near Sleeping Bear in the Travers city are the cost for 1 week stay on full hookup is $450 and your at Sleeping Bear not in an industrial park.
