Very surprised by the number of compliments to the staff here on Google - that was not my experience at all unfortunately. I live in Chinatown and made the rounds to find a good storage spot from the many options on Dillingham/in Kalihi. To begin, the advertised “50% off” rate does not seem to be legitimate. Additionally, the rates advertised online are pre-taxes and are only good for a few months with ever-increasing rates. The staff was extremely stand-offish and did not want to show me the units for size comparison - in fact, they did not show me a single unit. I was told that none of the facilities were truly climate-controlled (despite the assertions otherwise online). I was so turned off by the staff’s abrupt conversation and lack of willingness to tour the facilities that I went next door to Dillingham Self Storage and was taken care of promptly and with aplomb - within budget, toured, and a great rate guaranteed for a year and pro-rated move-in. Wouldn’t darken the door of this place and certainly wouldn’t recommend.

Awesome customer service with everyone here but really want to mention Reid Matsuoka. Really helpful throughout the entire experience! I never really write reviews but I just had to this time. He was very warm and welcome from start to finish with our visit here. If I could give a six star, I would!

The most amazing people work here! The storage units are clean, secure and easily accessible until midnight. On my move out day I had movers on the way to meet me and realized I did not have my key to open my unit. The front desk immediately called around to find someone to cut my lock and had a guy there in 15 minutes!!! Literally saved my entire moving day plans! Mahalo nui to everyone at Hawaii Self Storage Iwilei - I cant say enough good things.
