The campsite were tiny and so close together. Our rent was surrounded by RVs. The worst part was the trains! There are tracks that go through the campgrounds and the trains come through at all times of the night and day. It sounds like it is in the tent with you. My kids were waking up everytime it went by (the first night it was over 6 times.) Call ahead and make sure the site you pick is not near the tracks. I loved the Halloween themed activities they had for the kids and there were nice playgrounds.

First off- staff is so great! Everyone was so nice and check in after hours was a breeze. We booked a cabin for the Hozier show thinking the shuttle would be worth it- unfortunately not the case. They ran one bus to the campgrounds and it took a full hour for it to return to the park bus stop after the show, and still left a good number of folks behind. For a packed show you'd think they'd run two! Didn't end up being worth the cost of the cabin

Stayed here while attending groom expo. The distance from the convention was perfect and only about 5 minutes away. The cabin was very clean and had enough for what it was booked for. I liked the option for campfires and all the amenities. My only complaint is the pull out couch mattress was very very uncomfortable, and linens such as a few hand and bath towels along with sheets would be nice if it could be implemented.

Cabins were great, and the pool area was huge. Tons of skunks running around though. Could be due to the trash system- campers are to leave trash out and it is picked up at 7pm. Campers cannot access a dumpster after these hours though and I think that’s what’s attracting the amount of skunks everywhere. The pool closes between 2 and 3 pm for lifeguard lunch and trainings. Of the many campgrounds and camp resorts I’ve stayed at, this is definitely not the norm and I was pretty surprised to find after hauling my medically complex infant and all her gear all the way to the pool on a 90 degree day that we only had 10 minutes to swim before the pool closed for an hour. There is one small sign informing campers of this, however it’s next to a bunch of other signage so it’s easy to miss. It’s not fun or easy to unpack everything in a nice shaded spot only to pack it back up ten minutes later and pray we get our spot back when the pool reopens. Plus from 2-3pm is the hottest time of day- it’s wild to do lifeguard training during a time when most campers would be looking for a relief from the heat when most lifeguard training in other places is done in the morning. I was looking forward to spending my last day of vacation lounging by the pool but I had to sit outside the store for an hour with a fussy baby instead. Disappointing.

We have stayed twice over the course of a few weeks. We stayed in the Midway Meadows section, both times backing up to the freight train tracks. The tracks are VERY active with multiple trains per hour, so if you choose these sites be prepared with a white noise machine in your trailer, it still will not be enough. Our second stay we had the chance to avoid the skunk family that traveled through the sites without regard for people or animals. This made the trip very unpleasant since we have two dogs and we were not able to sit out and enjoy the full camping experience. Overall, the sites are okay, but not worthy of “resort” status. Most of the front sites are very tight and all fire rings risk the adjacent sites camper get scorched if the family behind your unit is inconsiderate, we did not have this problem but can see it being an issue with others. Our interaction with the staff was okay except when we went to the registration desk and were ignored by both staff members for over five minutes while they did something on their desktops, ended up being helped by a separate staff member in the end. While this campground is associated with Hersheypark it seems that is in name only and not the experience. We used the shuttle and it was excellent! Super kid friendly and lots for the kids to do and enjoy. Overall only three stars due to the staff inconsideration.

My family and I enjoyed staying here, having the bus arrive every hour or every 15 mins (can't remember which it was) taking us to and from the park was very convenient. The information center on the campground has a store that sells anything and everything you could need while camping. An arcade that helped to occupy the kids, my daughter and niece adored the arcade because they were able to win fidget toys. There are also 24hr restrooms available for men and women that included showers. A playground located in a beautiful setting next to the boat ramps was my favorite place to sit and enjoy the atmosphere! I highly recommend Hershey park camping resort to anyone planning a trip to Hershey! Also I’d like to mention you need a camper or Rv for this resort, You cannot pitch a tent here.
