Wonderful spot to spend Christmas. Quiet, tranquil spot in the woods. We had deer looking at us 2 separate morning. Nice bathroom/shower locations. I will say, if you have a super large rig, this might be a challenge. There were a few tight turns. I'm in a 21 ft truck and 36 ft 5th wheel and I had to take a my time.

Love the site even in winter it’s very pretty. Amenities are awesome and the little things like propane filling service and an on site maintenance crew really make a difference. Cristina’s service has been exemplary, and she has made the experience much easier and much more pleasant than other sites I’ve been to.

Having to leave and find my way at 48 -all alone- following an ugly divorce was difficult. Speaking with staff here during my booking, they planned a perfect spot for me to acclimate. I feel so safe here. The staff here have been so kind and gentle with answering all my questions- even changed my dates due to travel complications… no problem! The girls gifted me a welcome plant! I am so grateful I found a place to start a new life the facilities are clean and the staff even helped me find a person for servicing my RV. Truly this is a community way of life and I may camp forever because campers have heart!

I'm considering a post in Marion. My husband and I went to look at the campground and found it to be beautiful! The roads were steep but very well maintained. The campgrounds were pristine and picturesque. The manager (Devon), was personable, engaging, and informative. We would definitely consider staying there.

We always stay at spacious guys hidden creek in Marion North Carolina. We come here so often that we opted for the membership we came to this campground as children and now our children enjoy it just as much there is a wonderful waterslide and pool so it is very kid friendly. And I could go on and on about the campground itself it’s in a beautiful serene area, a nice little pond in the center of the campground, very peaceful and quiet.

We were really disappointed with our stay at Spacious Skies Hidden Creek. There is no grass at the campsites, only weeds and overgrown brush, which makes the whole area feel poorly maintained. We went to the campground store three different times during our visit and there was never anyone there to help. Most of the campground seems to be long-term residents, and many of those sites looked like a junkyard, cluttered and messy, not at all what we expected for a vacation spot. It’s unfortunate because the location has potential, but the overall maintenance and atmosphere made our stay far from enjoyable.

Our family recently stayed in one of the cabins for a birthday celebration with friends back in late August (2 adults and a 3 yr old). All together there were around 20+ people. As a group, we had 4 cabins total and an RV site or two. The cabins were nice.... the mattresses could use an upgrade for additional comfort but they were OK for a weekend. The loft area is great for kids as well as the futon. Personally (as an adult), I wouldn't suggest sleeping in the loft or on the futon for comfort purposes so if you're looking to house adults you might want to consider beds for them (additional rooms). The pool was fun for the kids and quite large. Also, the waterslide was a blast for kids and adults alike. Overall, the campground has had it rough and it shows a bit. From the looks of it, Hurricane Helene did a lot of damage to their infrastructure especially around the pond area. I'm sure it's been a challenge as additional rainy weather and storms roll through while they are trying to address that past damage. You can definitely tell that they are slowly working on addressing everything but it's a very large task. I imagine the infrastructure work needed is quite expensive and will take time, especially when it comes to the pond. Hopefully time will allow them to better their situation as folks get back to visiting their property. The staff here are very nice, helpful and are very appreciative of their visitors business. If you're looking for a place to camp, I'd definitely give these guys a look in an effort to support their future. Happy camping!!

We did tent camping here,, the staff was awesome, the grounds were well kept and the bathrooms were always clean. There is alot to do from fishing to swimming, and lots in between. The camp sites were well kept and taken care of. Some of the things were a little challenging for handicapped people like the bathrooms and getting to the pool area but it was all manageable and still absolutely 5 out 5 would recommend for families or groups of friends. Just an all round great experience.

Spent 2 days at Spacious Skies Hidden Creek (failed to read the reviews first). Our first impression was not positive. As other reviews have pointed out, the place is dirty. Yes, there is trash left by other campers. Yes, the sites are overgrown. Our site clearly had landscaping at one point - beautiful flowers planted by someone - but it's being taken over by poison ivy now. Yes, there is putrid standing water. We've had a lot of rain over the last 2 weeks (we live close by), but it's unsanitary, and it smells. It's also clear that Hidden Creek hasn't fully recovered from Helene last year. The nature trail by the camp store is completely washed out, and the lake doesn't really have a proper bank anymore. It's just creeping closer and closer to camp sites with no apparent spillway to deal with rainwater. The first thing I noticed was that there were people wading through the knee-deep, disgusting standing water (come on, people), and the smell of marijuana. We talked about leaving first thing in the morning, but our youngest wanted to jump on the jumping pad and play on the playground, so in the morning we started exploring. And in spite of a really poor first impression, we actually had a great day. The water slide (which opened early) was awesome! I thought the pool was alright, too. Some reviewers complained about mold on the chairs, but it's a public pool. Put your towel down; you'll be fine. It was clean, and there was no strong chlorine smell. The camp store didn't have golf balls for the mini golf, which was disappointing, but the staff we spoke with throughout the day were all very, very friendly, as other reviews pointed out. We wandered up to the highest camp sites, and, yes, the long term campers are gross. There's trash everywhere at those sites. And no shade up there, but trees are planted and growing, so in a few years, I'm sure it'll be better. This place has a ton of potential. Spacious Skies needs to invest some money in restoring the landscaping, including around the playground. And get the drainage issue fixed, especially with the lake. It needs a proper bank, and it needs someplace to spill over (maybe where the nature trail got washed away). There's no excuse for a 35' travel trailer to be sitting (sinking?) into a mud hole, or for families to have tents set up next to week-old standing water. Clean up the overgrown areas, and hold your long-term guests to some standards. As much as we paid to stay here for 2 days, I expected much better.

We just got back from a stay at Spacious Skies Hidden Creek and had an amazing time! This campground is packed with fun for the whole family. The waterslide and pool were a huge hit with our kids (and us, too!), and they loved the jump pillow, playground, and biking around the campground on the paved roads—super convenient and safe for kids. We also enjoyed the paddle bikes and canoes on the lake, and there’s great fishing, a well-stocked camp store, and even laundry facilities that made things easy. The campground is clean, well-maintained, and had a friendly, laid-back vibe. If you’re looking for a place that keeps the kids entertained while still feeling peaceful and relaxing for the adults, this is it. We’ll definitely be back!
