Beautiful lake and campground for a weekend visit. There are several beaches that allow for swimming in the lake. The campgrounds are very clean and offer a number of spots overlooking the water. Great Lake for boating. The launch is clean and easily accessible with a suitable pier for tying off. Launch is wide enough for at least two to launch simultaneously and is well maintained. (No algae, well paved, gentle incline). I’ve launched in my 2WD mid-size truck without getting the wheels wet. The lake is big enough to cruise, tube, knee board in the open areas with no concern for a lack of space or excessive boat traffic. If you’re into fishing, there are a number of shallow channels and cuts that allow you to navigate through and around cypress trees in quiet, undisturbed areas.

We enjoyed the camping area. But the beach area was not ideal for a family, loud music with bad language, every rule listed we saw broken! We didn't see anyone patrol the area or I sure any rules were followed. My husband stepped on & removed 4 empty beer cans from the bottom of the lake.

We go here to picnic and enjoy the outdoors. We go fishing and occasionally swimming at the beach areas. The playground area is nice for the kids and teenagers to play and hangout.

It's our favorite camping site in lousiana. While is may not have your water park amenities, it has old school charm and safety. We do enjoy the peace and quiet we get out here along with a little space for privacy in the shade.

Indian Creek Recreation Area is a very nice campground and lake. Great central Louisiana!! Near the Wild Azalea Trail and Hardwater Lake too. Lots of fun activities to choose from.

I have been camping at Indian creek before the camp ground opened, when the inmates worked here this place was so well maintained, by Friday all camp sites and fire rings were cleaned. I have spent the first 2 hours trying to clean my spot. Now we have golf carts and electric everything that goes faster than 15 mph and kids driving wide open. I still am a fan but don’t like what is happening.

We went on a scout campout in the primitive area . Here is what you need to know about primitive camping. It is first come first serve. There are no reservations for primitive sites. The primitive area has a lot of spots to pick from, but they are truly primitive. There are no tables, pavilions, fire rings, electrical hook ups or water, so bring what you need. There are restrooms in the primitive area though they were out of order due to the freeze the weekend we went. It is a short drive to the restrooms near the RVs which have showers and are temperature controlled. There is a hiking loop that is a little more than three miles which is a low difficulty hike appropriate for most hikers. There are beaches and fishing, though it was near freezing the day we went so we did not use those amenities.

Well maintained campground has 2 clean shower facilities, concrete pads for your RV, boat launch, swimming area, lots of shade, and very peaceful. The staff is very friendly and very helpful. Southern hospitality at its finest. Absolutely perfect.

First time here.. heard so many great things but it has been very disappointing. There is NO such thing as quiet hour. People screaming, playing horse shoes, and loud music. The showers were cold and one bath house was completely closed. Thought this may become a regular place, but doubt we'll return.

I've been here 2xs. Excited to go back. The 1st time it was dark & I didn't know where to go, eventually found a spot open. It's beautiful here. There are restrooms in the primitive camping area, although the 1st time they were clogged up but if you drive to the TV park side there are nice bathrooms there with showers.
