Location & Surroundings

The park is situated on a historic Gold Rush-era site, providing a serene environment that feels deep in the woods despite being less than two miles from downtown. This place is amazing! It’s close to Nevada City which is a great place to explore, shop, and grab a bite to eat. The campground layout is beautiful, there are heated glamping tents-with heated mattress pads! There is a nice gift shop in case you forgot anything, a stocked communal kitchen with a nice dining room right next to it, clean showers and bathrooms and an area to gather for games or to hang out and read a book if it’s raining outside. Did I mention the propane fire pits for s’mores?? We had a wonderful time here and highly recommend it.

I've been camping at Inn Town since 2015. It's such a beautiful campground, surrounded by trees, nicely designed and spacious campsites. Erin and Dan have truly created something special in this town and it's the perfect backdrop to the swimming in the Yuba river on a hot summer day! Also, great place to stay in the cooler months. We look forward to our annual stay there each summer. Thank you for all you do to provide this epic place to enjoy and relax!

I love this campground! Amazing location if you want to also be able to easily access all the fun Nevada City has to offer. The campgrounds feels like you’re in the woods but it’s only a 15 min walk to downtown and a 5 min drive. There are a ton of amazingly clean restrooms including showers and dishwashing stations. They even supply sponges, drying rack and dish soap! The campground is great for kids, too. There is a beautiful little swimming pool with immaculate facilities. Tons of stuff for kids to explore including a mock downtown, old trains, gold mines and fun well marked trails. During the summer they also have movie nights on a projector screen! Just a few seconds from the front gate there is also a railroad museum and the option to ride the mini train around the campground.

This is one of the best campgrounds I have ever stayed at, and I've camped a lot. They don't nickle and dime you for little things, like paid showers. They are free because you're staying there. Little things like that. Erin was super helpful. It's the little things like good signage, lighting, walking distances, etc. I just really enjoyed it. Will be back!

This place is a must visit if you’re planning a camping trip! The amenities alone are amazing! They have weekend movie nights, a pool and the local train museum next door. It’s great for campers of all ages! Bathrooms were clean, showers were awesome and there’s lots of things to do. Highly highly recommend!!

By far the best campground we have been to. Clean. Has everything you need. Glamping tents are perfect. Heated bed. You can rent fire pits. There are charcoal grills for use otherwise bring your own. Showers and community kitchen. Pool. General store. Outdoor movie. Chess. Right by train museum. Close to Nevada city. Just perfect ! Dog friendly.

We had a wonderful stay at the Inn Town Campground! Everything was incredibly clean, well-maintained, and the overall atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The attention to detail and the charm of the place really made our trip special. We did run into a small hiccup—our van broke down just a few minutes before checkout. The team was kind enough to help us out with some tools (thank you for that!), which we really appreciated. While we were sorting things out we needed to cool off from the heat, we jumped into the pool just one minute past checkout time and went to the bathroom. A staff member, that knew we had been struggling, came by to remind us that we weren’t allowed to use the facilities after checkout and she went on and on about how they have to be strict about this policy. She was polite, but given the situation, it was a bit awkward and added another layer of stress. A little more curiosity or compassion about what was going on and how we were doing would have gone a long way, especially because everyone else had been so helpful and had checked in on us. We were well aware of the policy and absolutely would have left on time if not for the unexpected breakdown. That said, it didn’t take away from how much we enjoyed our stay. We’d absolutely come back again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and well-run campground experience!

We had a wonderful time. Accommodations were wonderful people are great. First time glamping even with the cold air we slepted like babies we never sleep late and we did. The themed rooms were very cute. You feel like you are are far away but walking distance from the town enjoy a good meal go shopping or just relax at the site the propane campfires was nice no hard to start fire. Ready to book again.

Great place. Very interesting, but being a glamping scenario it makes sense. Very cool place. Easy to get to. The "tents" are very comfortable and the beds are awesome. I have a bad back and can't lay in bed long after 7 hours or so. Slept about 9 hours and laid there for 2 hours with my back feeling great. Bathrooms and showers are VERY clean and well stocked. Interesting train history to boot. On grounds store with friendly and helpful service. Very well kept and stocked with everything you need (needed for a camp kitchen). Impressed with this place for sure. We will be returning with friends.

We took our first trip to Inn Town in January, we made a 3 day weekend out of it. It’s so quiet, convenient to stores and town. We have a travel trailer and have stayed at a handful of places in Northern CA from Santa Cruz to Tahoe. One thing that separates Inn Town from the rest is the quality of their hookups. No leaky hose hookups and no shoddy electrical. This goes a long way with my husband he doesn’t have to fight a fine spray of water from a bad faucet like he has at other places. The campground is clean and well marked. They have propane available on site for purchase, even rental fire pits. There is a small store and a pool as well. A common kitchen and sitting area, laundry, showers, and flush restrooms are available. Staff are always friendly! We’ve returned a couple more times since January on the long weekends and made 3 night stays. Our friend has rented the yurt, it’s so cool! There are other smaller glamping options as well.
