Plenty of room for Fall camping, we got pick of dozens of nice sites. We appreciated the late check in flexibility, and opening the office early the next morning to take care of us, as were 1 of just a few campers in late October. Great location on River, 5 min from downtown, a few minutes from Casino. we'll be back

I was there late October so staffing was not what it would be during regular camping season. With that, my cabin was not clean or ready for us. They did put us in another cabin that was. The bathrooms were not cleaned the couple days we were there. Housekeeping was the only issue we had. Staff were very polite and courteous and took care of any issues we brought to them right away. Hopefully the housekeeping issue was due to out of season, but is addressed. I will give them another try as overall I was pleased with my stay.

My brother and I stayed here for nine days for the fall salmon run. This place is great. I have been coming up here every fall for the past 20 years and since Jay zee bought the place it has improved greatly. The restrooms are always clean, and the showers are free now, and the water is always hot. They have a great selection of fishing tackle, an awesome fish cleaning station and Aiden is very knowledgeable about fishing techniques. John from The WI Fi guys was very helpful to us with getting our tv going which I know nothing about. I highly reccomend Manistee Rv resort weather you are on a fishing trip or just want to relax.

The trailer we stayed in was really nice. I would stay there again, especially for a fishing. Everything you need is right there as far as fishing goes. They have a well stocked tackle shop and a convenience store, boat launch, and slips you can keep your boat in for a very reasonable price.

Relaxing atmosphere. Clean facilities. Family friendly. Nice beach and play area for the kids. The store is fully stocked with camping supplies and fishing tackle. One downside is the fish cleaning area could use some improvement. Also, fire pits are non-moveable and can be in a bad location on the site

Stayed in a cabin at Manistee River RV Resorts and it was great. Very clean when we arrived and stocked with all the cookware we could need in the kitchenette. The location is awesome! Right on the river and convenient access to town. We will definitely be making a trip or Two back up next summer.

I just returned from a 4 night stay at Manistee River RV Resort - I definitely recommend them if you're looking for a place to camp in the Manistee area. We were there as their season is winding down, and the only reason I didn't give 5 stars on "Service" was the hours of the office/tackle shop were very limited at this time of year. The park and facilities were very nice, and the tackle shop was very well stocked with salmon / trout fishing gear. We can't wait to return!

This is a GREAT hidden gem in Manistee. Honestly I wasn't sure when I saw it was near town, however, once you get into the campground it is quiet and has a great view of the river. My son's family rented a trailer, and we brought our travel trailer. The campers there were friendly. The bathrooms/showers were nice, clean and air conditioned. The managers and staff were friendly and really made you feel welcome! It is under new ownership, and you can see they are making improvements to the facility. My husband and I enjoyed our stay so much we rented a lot for the remainder of the season, and plan on becoming seasonal guests. The municipal Pickleball courts are only a few blocks from the resort. We look forward to many more fun stays at MRRR. Manistee is a nice location to visit and take day trips from.

I recently booked a three-day stay at Manistee River resort & Marina, hoping for a peaceful camping trip with my boyfriend. Unfortunately, our experience was far from what we had anticipated, and we ended up leaving early due to how unwelcome and uncomfortable we felt. From the moment we arrived, we sensed a pervasive unease. While the front desk staff were friendly and accommodating, the interactions with other campers were unsettling. Despite our attempts to be friendly and wave or say good morning, we were often met with cold stares and unresponsive attitudes. It was clear that our presence as African Americans was not welcomed by some. To our knowledge, we were the only Black people in the campground. One particularly disturbing incident involved three young men in a truck displaying a large political sign, who chose to dock their boat right next to our tent. While we respect everyone's right to their political beliefs, the placement of the boat felt intentionally intrusive and heightened our discomfort. Additionally, the noise levels at night were unbearable. Cars sped through the campground at unsafe speeds, disrupting what should have been a quiet and restful environment. The lack of consideration for other campers' peace and safety was disappointing. I struggled to sleep during the two nights we stayed. The sense of being unwelcome and the paranoia that ensued left me feeling unsafe and constantly on edge. By the second night, I was sleeping with one eye open, worried about our safety. On the third night, we decided to leave early and stay with family friends nearby, where we felt safe and wanted. This review is not about any specific incident of direct harm, but rather the cumulative feeling of not being welcomed and the pervasive sense of unease. It's important to remember that kindness and respect cost nothing. A simple smile or wave can go a long way in making everyone feel included and safe, regardless of their background or the color of their skin. We hope that sharing our experience can serve as a reminder of the importance of creating a welcoming environment for all campers. Everyone deserves to feel safe and respected while enjoying the great outdoors.

We have stayed at what use to be insta launch for almost 20 years. Last year was going to.be our last because of.the past owners. We heard new owners bought this year and decided to try again. So glad we did! We just got back from 3 nights. New manager (Ron) is great. We were able to talk and joke around with him, which was not something you could do last year with old owner. All the staff were friendly and welcoming. They are in the process of doing things to make it better. We have a 6 year old and fresh sand was brought in while we were there he loved it. We are excited to see what else they have in store. We will definitely be back. If you stayed under the previous owner and decided not to go back again, please consider trying it again. We are glad we did.
