This campground has become our favorite spot to stay when visiting Gulf Shores and Orange Beach. Convenient location. Reasonably priced. Nice sites with green space. Best of both worlds. You are near the beach and have an onsite pool that is maintained well.

Island retreat is a really good place for us. Stayed there twice and have a reservation fall of '26....Older type park. We like that. Staff is great, good rates, nice pool, updated bathrooms with laundry facilities, mature trees.... Wifi can be sketchy and ice machine charges $7 for a 14 lb bag. Ouch....

Excellent location, we stood here for the weekend of the shrimp fest. The park is very quiet, very clean, the camp sites have plenty of space, most of them have shade, the pool area is nice, bathrooms are clean. Down the street from Walmart, supermarkets, dollar store, restaurants, and ice cream places. The bike trail runs right in front of the property, and we will definitely visit again. Thank you Island Retreat RV park for having us.

While on vacation and staying at the Island Resort RV part my husband had a medical emergency which in the day we were supposed to check out. I spoke with the office and they were able to extend are start one more night in that spot. However, my husband ended hospitalized and I was unable to move the RV. The park was booked up but they found me another spot and were extremely helpful and sympathetic. The park is very nice with nice amenities.

We stayed for a single night passing through Gulf Shores. Island Retreat was perfect for us! Check in was a breeze, staff were friendly and very accommodating. Facilities were immaculate and well appointed. Campground was quiet, even with a lot placement by the pool. Other campers were also very friendly. Location was close to everything.

We chose to Air B&B a full size camper to be able to stay with our children & grand children who were staying here with there own camper. The camper was fully furnished with everything you could need including extra beach towels. We had a great experience & stay at Island Retreat RV park, it’s very affordable & It’s in an Excellent location about 1.5-2 miles from the main drag & beaches. The staff is super friendly as are all the amenities. It’s very clean & organized! We highly recommend this RV Park. Sincerely Amanda P & Mike S

We stayed two nights and it was a nice experience all the bathrooms were clean and cool. The grounds were well maintained and the park was over all quiet and comfortable. The price was not bad for the location. It’s 2 miles from the busy part of town. Don’t take long to get anywhere to eat or to go to the beach. I most definitely will be staying here again in the future.

We absolutely love Island Retreat! The spacious shaded sites are wonderful! The grounds and bath houses are well maintained! The staff is friendly and supportive. This is our spot when traveling to Gulf Shores. One recommendation to better MY experience would be some adult swim time. Not an old curmudgeon, kids are great! It would be nice to have a little quite time n the poool!

We LOVED our stay! The staff was amazing, they kept us informed every step of the way, they were very responsive, and so helpful! The bathrooms were individual and always clean. The laundry facilities were clean and worked well. The pool was clean and well kept. The sites were well kept and had exactly what we needed.

When we first arrived we arrived late due to car troubles. We called the after hours number and they told us how to check in from there.(first timers)The next morning we broke down at the entrance trying to go to a mechanic, everyone was so helpful and kind in helping us including the guests. The maintenance man with the long hair came in big time with helping us with a few extra tools. So blessed to have broke down where we did. The park was extremely clean and very beautifully! We will be back!!
