Our extended stay at Jackson Lake Campground was, unfortunately, a series of disappointments that revealed a significant gap between what was promised and what was delivered. The website and signage promote inflatables in the lake — there were none. The so-called “lake” is more accurately described as a shallow garbage riddled mud hole, and both the lake and the pool were closed for more than half the summer. When the pool was open, it was overrun by the public, leaving paying campers unable to enjoy it. The campsites themselves were consistently muddy and poorly maintained. The road leading into the property is riddled with potholes — to the point that vehicle damage feels inevitable. Campers are expected to cut their own grass, which is shocking given the already high site fees. The utilities are another concern. The well water provided to campers is of awful quality; at one point they had a boil water advisory, it stained our showers orange after a single use. On top of that, the electric billing is completely unreasonable — somehow our campground bill exceeded our home’s monthly usage, which makes little to no sense. The on-site laundry facilities consist of only one functioning washer and one dryer, both outdated and ineffective, which is wholly inadequate for a campground accommodating long-term guests. In summary the only thing enjoyable was the other campers who could agree with everything that was just said. Jackson Lake Campground feels like a poorly managed property that prioritizes collecting fees over maintaining a livable or enjoyable environment. Between false advertising, neglected facilities, and lack of basic upkeep, I would strongly recommend exploring other campgrounds before considering this one.

We went camping here last weekend and of course we had a good time because we were with good people. I chose this Campground because I saw that there was a lake with inflatables that we could have fun on. I read the website prior to going, which said the pool was closed after Labor Day weekend. It said nothing about the lake and in my head I thought well why in the world would you shut a lake down? Saturday morning we got our swimsuits on drove around the campground couldn’t find where this lake was so we stopped in the store to ask. Turns out the lake is a nasty small pond, and it was indeed closed. I told the man working in the store that maybe they should update their website to say that the Lake and pool were closed after Labor Day. Then got an attitude with me And repeatedly kept saying that it’s the end of the season as if that means anything to me. We would’ve never gone here if we had known. When I checked out for the campsite too, it made me pay 10 extra dollars to make sure I got the campsite I wanted and when we showed up, there was literally one other tent camper. Definitely will not be returning.

Honestly a pretty nice place. We stayed right by the lake in a tent, site 204. Bathrooms were clean, and I saw them get cleaned at least once a day while I was there. I think the lake and pool were closed for swimming which was a bummer, but the lake looked like it had some algae so that may have been why for the lake at least, not sure about the pool. Prices in their shop were pretty good, and you’re required to buy firewood there and it was reasonably priced. My only complaint is that there was some poison ivy on a couple of trees on my site so we weren’t able to hang up my hammock, but not a huge deal. Very friendly staff! And even though they were busy, it was a quiet atmosphere.

Not the greatest stay. Will not be back. First, The main attraction of the park was the inflatables in the lake which are gone this year. The fact that they are no longer there should be better advertised. Also, there was a boil advisory sign on the restrooms, we were very nervous about showering or anything in the bathrooms. Lastly, the public restroom by the pool was not open due to issues and you had to hike a bit to get to another bathroom. Lastly, despite there being many open camping spots, we were put in the spot right where people are pulling in and leaving the campground. Very noisy.

The pool and the lake were both closed to swim. It was 90° and we set up our tent over red ants which scared my 6 year old. Then we were not able to swim anywhere. I paid $50 to be able to swim with my kid. They were rude and unhelpful and gave me a $5 refund. We will not return. I would not have stayed but it would have disappointed my kid. Overall very disappointing. They should inform people before their stays that all the amenities are closed.

We had a great camping trip, the full time campers that live here are great. This place really does observe the quiet hours. The pool is great for floating in...it's not too deep ( I think 3 ft 6inches at its deepest) the lake does not have inflatables anymore ☹️. The staff were good. I would definitely come back. Thanks for the memories.

Thank you for hosting our company picnic! The pavilion was a perfect setting for the event. Our employees enjoyed the swimming pool and lake and we were so thankful that the weather cooperated! We truly appreciate the time and effort that your front desk and park staff did to make everyone’s visit a pleasant one. It was a great opportunity to unwind, connect, and have fun together!

This was our second time staying at the campground. Last year, we had such a fantastic experience, and that is what brought us and multiple friends back this year for the same weekend. Last year the campground was very family oriented. Inflatables on the lake, the lake was well maintained, lots of families their for just the weekend with their kiddos like us. The staff was wonderful and accommodating. The shower house, bathrooms, and pool were well maintained. This year, things went really downhill. No inflatables, the lake smelled horrible to the point that we would not let the kids swim in it and overall looked really neglected. The campground is mostly now long-term residents. I am not sure if background checks are done for the "year-round campers," but many of them made us uncomfortable, and we felt like we needed to keep our kids close. Prices significantly increased from last year. The staff was still amazing, the shower house and bathrooms were still well maintained along with the pool. Fishing was great! I'm not sure we will be back next year because of the negatives we experienced this year. I really hope they can get things turned around because it is a great location with lots of potential.

This was one of the worst camping experiences we have had. The road leading into the campground is a pot hole disaster. We with two other groups that also had issues. Items were in poor condition. The sewer location was very uphill on the site and nearly impossible to use. We originally tried and decided it would be better to just drive to the dump station. When we tried to use it, it was overflowing and full/backed up. We tried calling and even left messages. Never got a response. We then went back and had to pull into another empty site and back up all the way up the hill almost to their fence for gravity to allow dumping. We were so frustrated and rushing that we left our surge protector behind. We tried calling multiple times once we realized we forgot it which was only a few hours later. We also emailed multiple times. We offered to pay them the cost to send it back to us. Not a soul has reached out to us after calling about the sewer issues and the item. The cabins were bad too. Our friends next to us were supposed to have air and it barely worked. Very hot. The other was supposed to have a sink and it did not. Poor management and poor maintenance all over. ***Edit - the reservation was under my husband Greg McFadden and I also called and my married last name is also McFadden
