Not a bad place to stay for a few nights or longer if needed. Easy RV parking.

This is a convenient place to camp for Astoria area activities. Spaces are a little tight but otherwise a nice abs quiet place. Our room was great as we brought it with us! Prices are reasonably too.

We made our reservation 6 months out. We knew we only could get electric/water. This was okay. What we did not know was we would be in the tenting area. Oh, not really the tenting area but tenting in the area since the tenting area is small and full. The camp site had clear delineation between sites, if the neighbors respected the lines. But they did not. The campground is jammed packed- side-by-side RV’s in full hookup. Everyone has outside refrigerator and freezers for the fish they catch. We were supposed to be there 5 nights, we only made 3 nights. We spoke to the manager before we left, but no refunds. I will say, we are the type of camper who likes trees and space. So, this might explain the review. Would not stay here again, but they do not need to worry about that, since they are always full and put tenters in RV areas.

Although our last visit was almost 2 years ago, we keep a standing reservation. However I've been trying to get a hold of them for weeks. They've changed their hours from 10 to 2pm and NEVER answer their phones or emails. The acting "Manager" said our reservations were for the last part of July, when they were and always have been for the months of Aug & Sept. Someone pulled a fast one on us. So we cancelled the whole visit and will never go back there. I wonder how the owners would feel knowing that their office staff sucks that bad. The "manager" didn't show an ounce of remorse. Our friends have work camped there for 9 years and just found out that they no longer have jobs there when they called to talk to them. The camp office didn't call them, my friends had to call. No explanation, nothing!! Sketch for sure. They raise their price almost annually and they have minimal amenities. To say I'm dissapointed in how they treat people, is an understatement. Owners, feel free to contact me ANYTIME, I'd love to let you know a few things!!

This place is small town feel! Older and CLEAN! Staff lives on site! It’s home to them and many permanent residents. The facilities are well kept. Ownership has changed in the last few years and staff as Upgraded as well! For price! For convenience! For welcoming feel… this is a win win! If you are a fisherman… this place is the best! If you follow the rules, and respect the code of conduct… you will fall in LOVE🩷 we did! This year will be our 8th year! We stay for a month!!! We love it!

Fairly large park with all the basic amenities. Well located for exploration in the Warrenton-Astoria area. Reasonable rates. Linda has a good sense of humor, which helps with everyone checking in after long drives.

This campground serves a mix of permanents (campers that appear to have a sense of permanence) and transient (campers only here for a few days). While some of the permanents have well groomed yards, decks and gardens, sadly many others don't.  Their places  (and their rigs) are quite frankly a mess.  This takes away from what is otherwise a pretty nice place. Management greeted us warmly when we arrived.  Plenty of space for multiple campers in the waiting lane to get checked in. From my count there are approximately 154 sites which includes 12 tent sites.  Most of the sites have full hookups.  Two buildings house bathrooms and showers.  One laundry facility on site. The bath houses look a little tired, but were clean. Sites are paved and level.  All sites are back in,  and you have plenty of room on the street to maneuver into your site. They sell  propane, and it is priced the best I've seen along the coast. If you hear rather usual background noise while you staying here that sounds like you are parked close to an airport, that likely is a lumber mill located about 2/10 of a mile away. We never heard this sound after 10:00 P.M., and the sound wasn't obnoxious. We certainly felt comfortable and safe here.  We would consider returning if we are ever in this area again. Very convenient place to set up camp and venture out from and explore.

My wife and I recently rented one of their cabins during our vacation. It was a charming, rustic cabin in which to spend a night while exploring the NW corner of Oregon. This is primarily an RV park with several tent sites and 3 cabins. We are an older couple and valued the peace, quiet and tranquility of the park. Nothing loud or obnoxious like you can get in a state park. Our cabin (can't speak on the others) had electricity for lights, outlets and included a space heater and a portable fan. There was a twin bunk bed and a queen bed. There is no indoor plumbing in the cabin but there is a faucet outside as well as a fire pit. Clean restrooms with showers are located up near the office. During a walk through the park it was evident that several of the RVs were of long term residents as well as several open spaces for those passing through. If we find ourselves needing lodging in the Hammond / Astoria / Fort Stevens area again, Kampers West Kampground will be at the top of our list of places to stay. The front desk staff was very helpful in recommending places to go and see as well as local places to eat.
