The surrounding terrain is characterized by rolling woodlands and expansive waterfront vistas that define the unique Kentucky Lake region.

Amenities & Park Features

The campground features nearly 90 sites equipped with convenient water and electric hookups for various rig sizes. RV travelers appreciate the professional services at the on-site Kenlake Marina, which offers seasonal boat rentals and slips for those bringing their own watercraft. Beyond the campsites, the park boasts a historic lodge with a full-service restaurant and an impressive indoor and outdoor tennis center, which remains a standout feature for the park system.

Nearby Attractions & Things to Do

Water activities dominate the daily experience here, with excellent opportunities for bass and crappie fishing right from the shore or by boat. Hikers can explore several miles of wooded trails, such as the Cherokee Trail, which wind through the park’s diverse local ecosystem. Just across the water, visitors can explore the Elk and Bison Prairie or the Homeplace-1850s Working Farm within the Land Between the Lakes, making this park a perfect central base camp.

This park is an ideal choice for boating enthusiasts and active families who want more than just a standard primitive campsite. It specifically appeals to travelers who enjoy having resort-style amenities, such as a formal dining room and professional tennis courts, within walking distance of their RV. I've lived in this area for nearly 40 years. This is the first time I've been here. I have been missing out on a hidden gem. From check in tocheck out, the service was top notch. We arrived at little late, after 6:30 pm. I had trouble paying with my card and the desk clerk was fabulous. She was patient and considerate of my frustration. I finally got it all sorted out, she gave us directions to the restaurant near by. Our room was clean, comfortable and most importantly, it was quiet. After dinner we took our luggage into our room and we did some exploring in the hotel. I love this place. It has a game room,a very nice gift shop/ pantry.a dinning room where we had a very nice breakfast.Beautiful views of the lake.(when its light out 😁). Our room had a coffee pot, a hair dryer, iron and ironing board. The bathroom has the most luxurious bath towels I've ever seen in hotel. Even had a towel for make up remover. The water was hot and lasted long enough for both myself and my granddaughter to has shower and a bath. I can't say enough about this hotel. The staff are fantastic, the rooms are comfortable, the food was delicious. The views are just beautiful 100% recommend them.

It was nice and quite cabin in the woods. Would definitely stay again if we are ever in the area. The cabins are older but clean, some cosmetic issues but nothing that would keep me from staying there again. Has a full kitchen which was great.

Great location for Land Between the Lakes. Staff was friendly. BUT, when we saw a mouse in our room at the lodge, no one seemed concerned. Staff said it was normal because we were in the woods. I live in the woods too and I don't have mice. Some may be fine with this, but I was not. Rodents carry diseases. I think a facility that cooks food and houses guests should have a pest control service taking care of this issue.

This is beautiful property with gorgeous views of the lake. It is outdated in terms of look & design but is clean. The walls are thin, so if you are a light sleeper, this may be an issue. The breakfast in the morning is made upon order. Overall was a good experience.

Great place! Good food in the restaurant. Fair prices. Only negative is you will see mice in the cottages. The cottages are in the woods near the lake. Still highly recommend this resort. Cottages are fully stocked with everything for cooking and meals. Lodge is excellent.

A beautiful KY State Park. The lodge was wonderful, from the super clean rooms to the dining room. Breakfast is included with your stay.

If you are into quirky 1950's era resorts and hotels this place is a charmer, on Kentucky Lake, with great access to Land Between the Lakes and Murray. Lodge and cottages available, I always take a cottage as the extra space and kitchen is worth it. The hotel has got that old times feel that I absolutely love. The views from the pool, back porch, and restaurant are peacful. Usually, they're not very busy in the off-season. Friendly staff.

I have stayed here several times. We rent a cabin and they are very comfortable and quiet. Each cabin has a screen porch with different views. Last time we had a view of the water. The food at the lodge is great and the service is amazing. Everyone is friendly and professional.

I saw some other reviews and yes, the lodge and grounds have kept their quirky midcentury charm which I love because it reminds me of the golden age where our state parks and recreational areas were beloved. If you would visit more often, they’d get renovations!! I love our state parks’ lodges and cottages. If that turns you off, fine. BUT the staff and hospitality are second to none. From the front desk to restaurant to bar, the staff were friendly, helpful, but most of all welcoming. I recently attended a ‘murder mystery’ weekend and we had a blast. The entertainment was enthralling and it was so fun to mingle with the other guests and share clues. The food was extremely tasty and thoughtfully prepared. I have dietary restrictions and the staff exceeded my expectations. There were event themed cocktails that were only $6! I live in Nashville and the same cocktails would be $20+. Our room was clean and had a beautiful view of the lake. I appreciated that you could actually open the screened windows and enjoy the breeze and sounds of nature. I really hope they host future events like this- I’ve told all my friends about the fun we had. We also enjoyed the hiking trails, nature stations, and other numerous attractions in the park. 10/10!!!
